PL Opposition Tidbits

I’m not saying they’re the same thing though. I’m also not saying there’s not a logic about it or that I’m livid either (see Fark’s response above).

Ultimately they’re both making choices to manage or play for a club that, though objectively are the biggest in the world, stand symbolically for something I think is less than soulful, celebrated or ultimately healthy in the game. Ergo, whether they’re scouse, been at the club 20 years, projected a thoughtful personal quality, been universally loved as a Red or whatever, played for Real before…they’re making a key career choice that tells me something about how they see themselves, their career, football etc…and ultimately how well connected they are psychologically, emotionally, to all that is special about LFC…

Whether It’s Trent, Xabi or whoever…a career move to Madrid to me means that they don’t fully get what it means to belong to this great club and community…you can’t have an emotional connection to Madrid and Liverpool at the same time, or at least to the degree that you really get Anfield …but at the same time, So be it…each to their own…
Xabi is completely understandable. Trent can get fucked.

So apparently it's all agreed between arsenal and zubimendi

Be interesting if Alonso goes to Madrid he might try and get in before anythings signed

They do but a little bit same same. They haven't got a natural replacement for what Kroos and Modric brought to the team.
I think Valverde and Camavinga are good enough. Tchouameni to protect the back line. Like it or not, Trent will be their Kroos.

I doubt that the Real board are going to allow Xabi to play 5 at the back.

I think it’s interesting that Alonso is going to RM - so you’d expect Trent to be a RWB in his system.

Feels like they might be in the market for a CB, which could be Huijsen, but maybe they make a move for Konate if we’re not getting anywhere with a contract offer and PSG kown to be interested (they bring Konate’s “team”).

Also wonder where they fit Bellendingham in to the team - as a 10 in a 3 man midfield or as a false 9 in a 3 man forward line.

I don’t see Bellendingham dropping back into a midfield double pivot - so it def feels like Real will be shedding a midfielder and/or a forward in the next window.

He's the epitome of an Arsenal player. Defeatist attitude and a losers mentality. He'll fit right in with Arteta.
Should go full circle and move to Everton when it doesn't work out at the Emirates.
Don't forget slow.
Well I remember him being slow, not checked the stats...

Is he also the one that doesn’t like noise, or is that someone else? If so, to be fair, he’s picked the right team to go to if he can avoid the noise coming from AFTV.
