Apparently the tribunal to set the fee still hasn't happened / concluded. The better he plays, the more it's going to cost us, so he'd better not be a flash in the pan. If he can kick on then he'll be worth every penny of what we have to pay. I believe the existing tribunal record was for Harvey and Chelsea are seeking a lot more than that.

Read somewhere that Chelsea were pissed off that they banned our scouts from attending their games for a while. God knows if true or not, but they know they lost a potential star there.

I suspect we're hoping to get a decent fee for Doak, but if we get near the end of the window and no-one comes in for him then we might as well keep him as send him out on loan as he'll be on low wages and the cost of keeping him is more than worth having another option on the right.

I expect him to be sold as well, but i agree. May as well keep him than loan him out.

I feel a bit sorry for Doak tbh. Seems to have been forgotten but he's never really done anything wrong, and just had a very decent loan at Boro. I suppose injuries haven't helped.

Thats the crux of it really. The injuries robbed him of the chance to impress for a longer period

Also like to say the Nyoni has been fucking wonderful considering he's playing at CB. No right for that boy to be as intelligent as he is for the age he is. I love it

He's one of those kids who comes through and looks better the higher the level he plays at. Trent was like that too.

He and Rio look near certain to make it.
