Pre-Season deets

Szobo was at least the nominal RB, but he definitely moved inside in some of the clips in the extended highlights. Nyoni and Jones were in front of the back four with Wirtz as the 10

It's Arne Slot's new Liverpool. Our goals are going to come from the RB bursting through the lines with Ekitike laying off through passes.

RB is the new Centre Forward.

That’s a pretty strong looking squad we have!!!!

You could’ve stopped after 6 words and you’d have got a like.
interested to hear people’s thoughts, i know a lot are fond of the newest toys. to be honest i think frimpong looks very lightweight but i guess that comes with the speed. he has also looked good preseason.

I tend to agree. Frimpong isn’t used to playing in a back four, and I reckon Slot will bed him in more gradually than Kerkez.

It depends on what we do about the back-up striker and potentially Díaz’s replacement, but if we start the season with only one out-and-out number nine – which I hope we don’t – we’ll need plenty of options to cover those minutes. We might see Salah shifting central and and bring Frimpong on, or Gakpo shifting across with Riu coming on, and so on, but it does give me some concern about the amount of minutes our best players may have to play if we're not killing off games quickly enough. Ideally any Diaz replacement can also cover nine or RW and we can share the workload/Nunez sticks around.

If we factor in some burn out last year then the club likely need to plan to cover at least double whatever Jota's minutes were.

I think Bradley will initially be our starter. Frimpong will be used as a sub to manage the minutes of both Bradley and Salah, depending on how the game is. Needing a goal bring him on for Bradders. Defending a lead bring him on for Salah.
Need to get over those persistent niggling injuries.

A breakfast of Ready Brek over 2 Weetabix each morning has been prescribed by the top sports nutritionist in the land.

Thommo had two steaks a day. Shanks was impressed by his transformation.

Frimpong has played nearly as many games as a RB in a back 4 as he has at RW. 126-138
I think that transition will go quickly and smoothly.

But feels like it’s Bradley’s spot from the start given familiarity and previous performances.

I can't see us signing Isak but I can Rodrygo - it would gel with Slot's need for quality and versatility. Covering the whole front line gives us amazing options (and covers Salah's AFCON absence).

Rodrygo and Guehi for a 10/10 window never to be repeated.

Bradders has looked excellent in the training vids so far. Really hope he can stay fit. Breakout season coming if so.
