I get that. However having two similar strikers, who can both play LW (as can Wirtz) can also be viewed as strength in depth and not having to change formation or style to accommodate.

This transfer window has really been a strong statement of intent by the club.
Once Mo finds form some people are really going to be struggling with this season.
I heard some people comparing it to the Chelsea window where they signed Cech, Drogba, etc ...
Either way, in terms of talent acquired, it's going #1 or #2 which means it's fucking great.
Chelsea could afford to just chuck unlimited money at every player/club as well. It's not really a fair comparison.
It is though. We didn't fully shore up the defence and we are short of a specialist back up right winger.
Guehi and Fofana and we'd have had the best window of a life time. Yes im aware Fofana plays more as a LW, but he can play right too.
Its still an A- window for me though.

Hopefully they'll be addressed over the next few windows and we can dominate for another 5 years.

Guehi, a Fofana style winger, and even a Wharton/stiller and id give it a 10. Hell, if we didn't sell Diaz (though I completely get the reasoning) it would have bumped it up from an 8. We're short on the wings, and forgive me if I don't believe we should be relying on a 16 year old every week.
I don't see the need in rating something a 10. A 10 is perfection, and while this window was the best I've ever seen from us, it absolutely is not perfection.
It's not being miserable, it's being factual.

I made the same mistake with Isak. Said pretty much all the way that we should go for him, that we can get him, even that we would get him, but then when push came to shove I went with that fucking donkey Sesko.
And that's why it's a 10 window.
Anyone saying it's NOT a 10/10 window is more critiquing the team/squad than the window itself.

Haha mine just as bad - only got Kerkez right. The others I had were a load of average to good players because that's all I thought we could afford!
I'd swap Gakpo for Ekitike on the LW.
And we're back to needing another striker.
Why? He's not rooted there (and we can always use Gakpo or Rio). But for a starting XI I feel Ekitike would be better than Gakpo. Less predictable and more likely to use Kerkez!

That still doesn't make it a 10/10 window for me though. Like, I picked a DM in my 7 because I felt like we need one. I picked a winger because our depth and quality on the wings wasn't good enough for me.
Neither of those things have been addressed. Arguably we're weaker on the wing now.
I'm elated with the quality of the signings as they're MUCH better than I thought they'd be; but we still didn't cover all the areas I thought we should

The thing is there was no talk of us moving him over the summer. Maybe the powers that be want to give him a crack.
I dunno. If he excelled on the loans, then absolutely. But he didn't. And now he's had an op. I think we're being his rehab tbh
