Oscar Wendt interest confirmed by scout Jakob Friis-Hansen. We are also keeping a close eye on another Swede for the LB position with a slightly cooler name.
Behrang Safari. Don't know much about him to be honest but the few times I've seen him play he's seemed fast and technically sound.

Our outspoken scout's comment, as mentioned by KHL:
Liverpool's Scandinavian scout Jakob Friis-Hansen has revealed that the Reds are looking at FC Copenhagen's left-back Oscar Wendt .
The 25-year-old has been at FC Copenhagen since 2006 but has already said that he will leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season. Wendt is the regular left-back for the Swedish national team and has added important Champions League experience to his CV this season.
Although he has previously been linked with the likes of Roma and Tottenham, Friis-Hansen has thrown Liverpool's hat into the ring.
The scout is quoted on two major Danish websites, Onside and Sporten, saying, "We are keeping a good eye on Oscar…Oscar Wendt does a great job, but he must play at a high level every week. In Denmark there are just a few high-quality games."
Wendt is not only strong at the back but also excellent going forward and is dangerous from crosses.
Friis-Hansen also mentioned that Liverpool are monitoring FC Basel 's left-back Behrang Safari . The search for a left-back will cast some doubt over the Anfield future of Paul Konchesky , signed by Roy Hodgson over the summer from Fulham.
