Yep, fair comp to Sterling; same playing style, although Sterling was still playing for the U21s at 16. Sterling was really pacy and favoured cutting into the box or along the 18-yard box edge from out wide and unleashing a shot. I think Sterling was maybe faster and definitely of lighter build; that's what surprises me about Ngumoha most, that he seems to have bulked up a bit this pre-season.
Ngumoha is showing great progress and he seems to get better with each pre-season game. Although I have to say that after he got his goal and assist yesterday, he was kept rather quiet as the opponents got to grips with his game and worked harder (sometimes with double cover) to shut him down. They succeeded in that, so that is a good lesson for Ngumoha.
