Robertsgone?

Unlike some 😉 I was always behind signing Robbo, as I liked the look of him at Hull despite them not being up to much as a team overall. Being a veteran of the first glory days I also liked the idea that we were getting a Scottish element back in the side. Favourite memories include him pressing about four members of an opposition defence one after the other till they lost the ball, taking out Raphinha after he'd hacked Sadio Mane down when we played Leeds one time, and of course tw@tting Messi on that magic night against Arselona at Anfield.

YNWA Andrew Henry Robertson MBE.
And his spats with Spurs, Harry Kane comes to mind.

Liverpool is asking for a modest fee to let Andrew Robertson leave, whose contract expires in 2026.

Atlético Madrid considers Robertson an achievable target after completely halting negotiations with Milan for Theo Hernández: the gap between the clubs is considered excessive by the Red and Whites.

Robertson has already said yes to Atlético Madrid.

I would have liked to have kept him until at least Jan to ensure Kerkez settles.

I'll definitely be a lot sadder when Robbo leaves than when the Rat left.

It'll be a sad day for me when he goes, but if he wants out, and I get why he might, then the club are right to make it work.

I hoped he would stay and rotate, but it is what it is. He'll be enormously missed around the club.

Schlotterbeck and Hato please.

I did just think that this could be the perfect time to bring in Hato. A future LCB/LB hybrid, who might accept being backup to VVD and kerkez for a year or 2, then replace virg.

A bold pitch, but a strong one tbf

I had hoped that he would stay and force Kerkez to fight for starts, as it seems he was inclined to do.

But if he wants to leave for Atletico, I think that's a good club for him and if we get an alright fee, I won't hold it against him.

Especially if he kicks lumps out of Trent in the first Madrid derby.

He's still capable of playing at the top level on his day. That day just isn't more than once per week at this point.

Don’t think I want him to replace Virgil.
Maybe not, but there's certainly a good player in there and could develop very well; even if it's to sell at a much higher fee.

Saw an interesting piece by the athletic the other day saying we should go for schlotterbeck, as 1) he's as good as Virgil in progressing the ball, 2) very good aerially, 3) decent age and 4) just had a meniscus tear, so we could rehab him (potentially saving money on the transfer fee), adapt him to the club and slowly introduce him to replace Virgil.

I think he knows in him self that he's not at the level he was, and he'll only struggle more while kerkez will improve.

Some sections of the media have had fun lambasting Liverpool fans for our reaction to TAA going. Will they notice the vastly different reaction Robbo will get, and ask themselves why? Answers on a postcard.

Nah the shit stirrers will ignore the difference in how they choose to leave
