I think Barton and Young would be good quality additions, for sure neither is a world beater but in terms of squad depth and neither having to adapt to the league i'm fine with it.... Barton can play a bit and is competitive, young has got plenty of the much needed pace we want and both are English and not overly expensive.

Barton being back in Liverpool considering his character is the only worry... the man is quite the toe-rag...

If we were to get them and one big "marquee" signing i would be very happy tbh.

I do have concerns about the disruption Barton could cause, but as a player I've got no concerns with him or Young, both would be good additions to the skwaaaad. I think both have the ability to be more than that actually, the potential is there in both of them.
 
Of course him and Carrol might end up in jail while carousing....

It isn't the ideal scenario buying in a proven nutcase.... to soften the blow and make me worry less i insist on the club buying in somebody fucking ace to make me smile lots as we romp home to our own number 19 :)

I can imagine Barton and Carroll would liven up proceedings no end on a Saturday night in the clubs and pubs of Liverpool. Don't know if he will be going to any westlife concerts though.
 
Barton no longer drinks. He'd be that boring cunt on a night out who won't get up and dance and want to go home early. Only reason he is brought out is to drive Carroll home.
