Selliott

It's stupid to sell him. I get that he is in the unfortunate position of having 2-3 top class players in front of him, but he's a gem. The whole "didn't take his chance" thing is such contrived bollocks, considering Slot treated him, Endo and Quansah like absolute cunts for most of the campaign, while the likes of Jones and Szobo couldn't string a handful of good performances together between them. Amazing that Szobo is getting a free pass because he runs a lot, from the same morons who used to criticise Hendo for offering just about the same.

If he feels he has been treated a cunt or he wants more game time then he could be the one driving it.

There's a difference between wanting him sold and having to sell him.

We essentially have to sell him because Arne has made it epically abundantly clear he has no use for him in his preferred set up, doesn't get more simpler than that....when a manager makes you surplus, there generally is no way back.

& let's not pretend like there aren't plenty of other top (better) prospects than him out there we could steal for a fraction of the price.

Tbh the summer started with him saying he doesn't want to go, then it shifted to I need to do what's best for my career

I don't believe for a second he wants to go, but I do believe slot (in no uncertain terms) has told him he's not in his plans and probably never will be.

Like who? For a fraction of what price? The price we'll get? Grealish went to City for stupid money at an age when he wasn't really going to get much better. Elliott has it in him to be better than Grealish and on the back of 1-2 years of good performances he'll be pushing for a move to one of our rivals.

If we need the money then fine, but it makes more sense to loan him to a Premiership side for a year and see what he can do. Pretty sure we'll know by then if Jones and Szobo have futures here, and whether there's been a significant decline in Salah.

Slot has won the league and he has a right to create his team, and I don't think that includes Elliott. Elliott deserves game time, and he has the possibility to be chosen by England if he gets minutes

Yes the circa £40m we're looking to get. I don't care about Grealish or any of these overhyped duds.....I'm talking about talents like when Madrid signed Guler for 20m or even established internationals like when PSG signed Ruiz for £18.5m, these type of deals happen every single summer and we're nowhere to be seen.

Who knows, we might need the money, we might not....we might not know we need it right now but for sure £40m on a squad player would help quite drastically sooner or later down the line.

Finally bought a (dead cheap) air fryer - so far had sausages. OK

I resisted until now as I don't want yet another bulky device cluttering up the worktop - kettle, toaster, microwave, foreman etc....

This is where you learn to put the toaster in the cupboard.

July is, after all, put your toaster in the cupboard month.

I still think we'll sell him.

Although, if he wasn't our player, and was called Harveyoso Elliotstein doing what he's doing in the u21s, we'd probably be looking to buy him.
Let’s be honest U21 level is rubbish and most lads playing it after 19 never make it to the very top as those that will are already in the senior set up by then.

I like Harvey but we should be selling 100%.

Is there a deal to be done with RB Leipzig with Harvey going one way and Xavi Simons the other?

The games were Elliott started and was given responsibility he largely failed to make an impression in, but was effective as a late sub.
That was his season in 24/25.

Szobo gets a free pass cause he brings something to the team that we need and is a better fit tactically. He also had a much better season than some morons, you know the ones that just think he runs, on here give him credit for.

I love Elliott but he's to slow to be a winger and he doesn't have the physical attributes to be our nr 10.
Being the best player on the pitch in the U-21s as a 22 year old gem is the least I'd expect from him.

Its okay to sell a player like Harvey if he doesn't fit the team. It happens all the time.

The problem with air fryers is that they are impossible to clean; after a while all that cooked-off oil will start to smelll and you either have to live with it or buy a new one. I think a conventional small electric oven is better, there are now plenty to choose from at any price point.

Our 5th best player in the second half of the season according to those who voted in MOTM. Only behind Mac, Ali, Diaz and Salah.

I've got two of the Ninja ones, the Foodi one and the dual drawer one. For the dual drawer I've just bought a silicon pack off Amazon with the full drawer and half drawer silicon inlays which make it a million times easier for cleaning, it also came with two grills and kebab sticks, for about £15 I think.

This was the one I bought, it's sold out now but there are others on there: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DZ1SGG3B?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
