Given he is essentially a caretaker manager, will he be given funds you think? or is it going to be a simple case of steadying the ship with what we have till we get a permenant replacement at the end of the season.

Given FSG and Comolli's emphasis on buying young developing talent and Kenny's recent overseeing of the youth policy at Anfield, I'm expecting one or two expensive starlets.
The kid at Southampton and maybe Wickham.
I'd be delighted if we went for Hazard or Elia of course but they'd cost double the two quoted above.

I personally think he won't. He will probably be in there to also identify who needs to be shipped out. Any recruitments will be youth or players brought in on loan. The new manager next season will then be given the funds to rebuild. That will only be kenny if he some how he miraculously turns our season around.

Yeah, I suspect this is about right. We were never going to make a whole raft of signings in a January window, but there will be some.
On the question of the coaching staff, I think Sami has just become an assistant manager at Leverkusen so I doubt he'll be back now. Didi on the other hand might be up for it, I guess, and like others I'd love to see either or both of them back at Anfield.
