So, Luis to Barca.....

Yeah it's hard to equate. As Carragher said, we persevered with Suarez due to his talent. Itandje and other cunts were just shown the door because they didn't matter to our team and were no value to us as assets.

Look at Maxi and Mascherano as examples. Both cited family as a reason to leave but had two totally different departures. Maxi asked to go and be with his family back in SA, we said okay. He didn't need to engineer a move as we were happy to allow him go. The goalposts are moved when a bigger talent is involved. Mascherano wanted to move to Spain. We didn't want him too as he was an important player for us. He tried to engineer a move and now we think he is a c*nt for acting like he did.

Or maybe it was because Maxi wanted to go home and Masher wanted to go to Spain. Plus market value of course. An asset is an asset

Yeah Maxi was genuine but if we considered Maxi as a valuable asset we'd have made it hard for him to get his move.

Not necessarily. I'd hazard a guess that he wanted a move earlier, but we got him to stay for a while on a promise that we'd then let him go on a free.

I'm not sure why RedNinja - but this doesn't even bother me .... So long Suarez, enjoy barca, enjoy just being another player ...

Richey: that's not the true reason why Ryan dislikes Suarez. He, Rosco and Oncy have a particular personal dislike of Suarez which predated such reasons and is independent of them, however much they may try and use them as stalking-horses.

There they are panto style hovering over Luis Missus.

They were obviously worse players than Suarez, but they also did worse things on (and off the pitch).
They were different times and the media exposure was nowhere near what it is today. Also 20 years have gone, so people forget.

As for fucking the club around - are you talking about his move to Barcelona? Well, at least he signed a new contract with a high release clause. Compare that to local boys like McManaman and Owen...

I'm obviously let down by his biting incident and by his imminent departure as I hope he would stay (although TBH I was telling my friends all season long that he'd be off by the end of the season). However, I think he's being over demonised by some.

I am not going to spend a huge amount of time defending Ruddock and Dicks, but actually Ruddock, for all his laddishness and drinking etc (which he didn't do on his own of course) has remained a genuine Liverpool fan and always speaks well of the club. Dicks wasn't here for long and actually didn't do a lot wrong for us in a disciplinary sense. He was just fat and not that good.

Not sure I really like the insinuation that I am critical of Suarez because he is not local, so I will leave that one.

I don't think Suarez is the monster that some make him out to be. I do think both this summer and last summer he behaved pretty poorly though. Still, it's done with now. He's off. Good luck to him. I'm more interested in players who want to play for Liverpool.

You're right about Ruddock and Dicks, particularly the former, I'm not sure where the comparison really stems from. You may aswell compare Fowler to him, whom everyone considers to be God, despite him not looking after himself too greatly during his playing career.

It's completely different scenario's really, a couple of Jack the Lad's isn't really the same in any way. And Diouf was an utter, horrible oaf, in every respect. Spitting, celebrating a goal against us while still playing for us, fighting (a fair few times), crashing a car and injuring a passenger without a license.. He's a bellend.

I didn't mean to suggest that you were critical of Suarez because he is not local. I'm sorry if you understood it that way. It really wasn't my intention.

I'm sure Suarez will always remain a fan of LFC.
He's a world class player. He's latin. For players like him Barcelona and Real Madrid are the top of their dreams. Actually for Germans, Englishmen, Frenchmen etc. too.

So he's not actually gone yet?

Sanchez doesn't want to come to us, so Barca will have to pay full whack on the release clause - which I presume they don't want to do.

I feel like fucking off back to a chateau in the South of France with no TV or Internet.
