So who do we want/expect/hope?

My guess is we'll have more AVB/Rafa/Capello rumours and end up with Martinez.

Btw, with talk of LFC interviewing 8 to 12 potential candidates, wouldn't that be proper off-putting for these Managers knowing they're not the standout candidate for the Club? Of course, we can't just limit it to one or two Managers but 8 to 12, that's a bit extreme is it not?

Not really, why pamper to a managers ego and they have to be the standout candidate? It's kinda puts them in a position of power and that should belong to the employers/owners. So not really extreme at all.

Kenny was out of the game for too long and it showed. His insistance at playing his overrated British players didn't help either.

Rafa hasn't been out that long.

What you've just posted proves my point.

Rafa has been away sufficiently long enough for people to forget his failings and only remember the good stuff. Check out Neils ramblings about how we 'only' play a high tempo up the field game and forgets about the absolute dour matches he masterminded. Rafa's reign may have been under different circumstances i.e. H&G but nevertheless his genius still didn't win us the PL and only really yielded 2 major trophies.

The Rafulation failed, Rafa should be thanked and remembered for the good stuff, just like Kenny and his reign(s) but ultimately they could not do the job and the results prove that.

Move on, try something new after all insanity is trying the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.

There's a difference between pampering a managers ego and making him feel wanted and trusted to take on the job(massive job).

Whoever it is, might be thinking, "well i'm only here because they couldn't attract one of the other 11".

By all means have a few in mind but imo interviewing/targetting 8-12 manager's is way ott.

Unlikely, considering the egos in the sport (players and managers). Even Woy said he deserved the job over Kenny.

Posted this elsewhere, about the Allianz Arena but it belongs here really:

what a beautiful stadium that is hope ours can be that great when it's buit in 2035..

Was thinking that myself, then that train of thought made me remember Henry et al travelled there & commented on how amazing it was. Then came home & picked the cheapest option regardless.

Using that logic we'll interview some great managers then choose Martinez. Depressing.

Shame UEFA decided to bow to the sponsors and cover up all the words Allianz in the stadium, and refer to it as ' Football Stadium Munich' . They are a fucking disgrace. It's all about the money, money, money......

It was the same last season when the Europa leage final was held here and the Aviva Stadium was called the Dublin Arena

To be fair , Aviva are shite. Allianz embrace the mechanical approach and success of the German nature. Aviva is all about Delia Smith. *clears throat*

on a side note chelsea's reserve keeper is called Blackman and he is Black so if Suarez calls him by his name will he land in more trouble?
