So who do we want/expect/hope?

The Sunday Express are running in tomorrow's paper that FSG have chosen AVB.

I'm sure it'll be full of quotes & verification of their sources. Or not.

Unlikely, considering the egos in the sport (players and managers). Even Woy said he deserved the job over Kenny.

As a paragraph in this article states:

By discussing so many possible managers, the club have risked alienating candidates unhappy with having to take part in a 'beauty parade' and risking returning to their current clubs having failed to land the job.

Vlad may be correct with the bets.

I looked this morn and Redknapp was 50/1. He's now 9/1.

I want AVB myself.

I'm not totally against Rafael Benitez. although I still believe his sacking was justified. I think he burnt out after working so intensely for years and lost sight of reality a bit. If there is a willing acceptance of the above then there is no reason why he should not be on the shortlist. A break might have done him the world of good. Maybe that's overly hopefully, I don't know....

Boas seems to be the ideal match for FSG and, along with Klopp is among my favourites for the position.

The rest can all fuck off. I do not understand the fuss surrounding any of them.

Well after tonight - whoever comes in, he needs to get us into a top 3 place, as Spurs have found out ... 4th is not good enough.

Definitely in the AVB camp. Don't think he was a fluke, and his sacking says more about the circumstances at Chelsea than his talent.

The pre match stuff for the game tonight... Lampard kept mentioning Boas and how he dropped him. Pretty sure the figures show Lampard played as much as mata

It seems to be a myth perpetuated by the media

Thank yow - these are not huge bets , but many bets of £250...bigger bets than that alert the bookies. As Pedro has said not saying he is, but there are some interesting betting patterns, that's all

I'd happily take the Rafa/Pako beasty partnership of 99-07 but not the solo mentalist that followed.
