Where will he end up come Feb 1st? On our bench or at another club?

Ladbrokes Latest Betting – Daniel Sturridge Club on February 1
Inter Milan – 4/6
Southampton – 6/1
West Ham – 14/1
Newcastle – 20/1

I hope it's Soton or West Ham as we'll get money with those two clubs ... Inter & Newcastle will be loans for sure.

We're not desperate to sell. By the looks of it I don't see anyone desperate enough to pay stupid money for Sturridge. They'll be pushing for a loan and he'll probably stay.

Sturridge might push quite hard to leave, which could change things.

He wants to play football regularly. Until he gets injured again,

I don't see Inter splashing cash on him, however they have done strange Things before.

I would og for a sale, and collect whatever is offered above 10-12 millions. He will not increase his value over the next 6-12 months at all.

Every Sturridge thread on here begs the same question; how much would you pay for him? The right answer is "next to fuck all". That's what we should be expecting. Barring some maniac cunts turning up (which could happen nonetheless), he'll go on loan till his contract expires.

I forgot sturridge was still alive. As usual for every window, would be nice to bin him off and get his wages off the books. If he had any balls and backed himself then he'd be doing anything he could to get a move on a year when probably his last world cup is taking place. He'll be most likely be sitting in the melwood treatment room still this time next year though.

What are you talking about? Sturridge is now just happy to sit on the bench and collect his wages? What are basing that unfair assertion on?

Some rags reporting Sevilles loan offer inc paying all £150k of his wages has ben rejected.

I'd like to see him go overseas, just for the sheer fact it's more interesting to see how he does over there, if he stays fit. And it might help us gauge the actual difference in quality between our respective leagues. He's been linked with West Ham and Arsenal for years, so I wouldn't be surprised if one of those two take a punt on him.

If we sell or loan him out we have to buy a new striker. Ings and Solanke as back up/rotation is not good enough for a top 4 club.
I guess it isn´t good enough with Sturridge included either....

Wondering if Klopp is looking to bring in a replacement for him first before letting him go. I can't believe that he is going to go into February with Ings - who might leave - and Solanke as back-ups to Firmino.

I think if we replace Coutinho now, then it's fine. If we don't bring in anyone and let a few go on loan, then we are short really. If we lose Salah for any lengthy spell, we're fucked.

I suppose Klopp thinks he's got a similar like for like for Firmino, in Solanke. Despite his lack of goals, he'll press from the front in the same way and will work hard. It will come for him, he's got alot of ability, but he just needs a bit of a patience and some luck infront of goal. He's been unlucky with a few chances. It only takes one to go in and he'll crack on from there I reckon.

Solanke offers nothing of what Firmino does. Solanke isn´t mobile, quite slow when turning, first touch is very poor and no goals.

Have you watched him at U23 level and for England? He's not slow or immobile at all, certainly no less than Firmino who's not exactly quick off the mark either. Firmino's touch is exemplary, granted. As for goals, it's taken Firmino until this year to look a regular threat for us. Solanke has got 6 years on him to improve to that level.

That's very unfair & not at all true imo.

He has looked slower when given games & told to drop back & do a lot more of the donkey work, but I'd expect nothing less when that's not been his natural game.

I wouldn't be happy with him regularly trying to replace Firmino now though, he's just not ready.

I think he could well be a helluva player, but Firmino is so centric to the way we play that trying to use him to replace him isn't good for him or the team.

I'm not in the slightest bit worried by SoSwanky

id like the club to be selfish re Sturridge , he can still offer a moment of quality that we might require should one or more of our starting 11 suffer injury or fire blanks
