Interview with Don Balon magazine

TBF, everyone kinda wants to play for them at the moment, and there's only so many they can sign. Its reality, he can "like to play for them" all he likes.

Haha. Im really not arsed anymore.
If they want him they can pay us 50m plus.

No emotional attachment for anyone but Dirk.

It's like an apex food chain thingy isn't it.

Right now Barca are at the top, under them the likes of Man Ure & Real... Blah blah blah.... then the likes of us & Arsenal.... the the likes of Ajax, Marseilles, etc

So we try to get good players off bottom feeders before they move on to apex predators.

I fucking hate this "I must be playing in the Champions League" shite from players.. Pull you finger out of your arse and make it happen where you are cunt...

He can leave next summer for a minimum of £50m after getting us back into the Champions league.

Mata will have settled in at the club by then and ready to fill the void left by Suarez anyways

So Krump, did you get Suarez on the back of your lad's shirt in the end?
[/quote]

No way. And now we see why. I feel vindicated but no less pissed off at the buck toothed cunt who I will never again cheer for.

Full interview translated. Sort of.

-In the Copa America you are favorites along with Argentina and Brazil, What are your expectations in the face of competition?
'I think Uruguay is always a candidate in the Copa America. Luckily, we're playing well and not only in the squad, but Uruguay has been growing in lower divisions, where they qualified for the Olympic Games in London.

- What position in the final classification of the Copa America would be satisfied?
-All partners rely on the computer, trying to do well, this is our goal to be there fighting for the title. You have to go into the tournament with humility, with the same mentality with which we were the World Cup, and being serious work to get what they want, which is winning.

- They dream of being champions of America?
'I think that most dream of being champions of the Copa America, but there you go game by game, step by step, as this will be the best way to achieve the goal.

-With over 10 years of career ahead, add 17 goals in their selection, Does it pass through his mind as the top scorer of the team?
-No, it's for nothing on my mind. I'm not keep statistics, but it would be a great compliment to be the greatest scorer in the selection of Uruguay. Neither me nor was I moved by despair, I try to do the best for my country.

- How did you arrive to European football at a young age?
-You always dream to make the move to European football. I was given the chance to go to Groningen and was one of the best decisions I ever made. It was a great club for adaptation in Europe, a table of average quality, and then be able to jump into Ajax.

- It took emigrate from their country?
-Being so young, aged 19, is not an easy decision to go to live alone. Luckily, I had the support at that time was my girlfriend, now my wife, who helped me a lot. If one is alone, without support from family, it is much more difficult.

-Before emigrating, he had a distant relationship with his wife
Yes, she was living two years in Spain (family issues) when we went to Holland. But I was always there when she was on vacation and came here on holiday when they finished their studies.

There was a time to get to Groningen, which did not enjoy continuity ...
-The first 2 or 3 months I took a little adaptation, but when I started playing, I started having confidence was the best time, and then came a call for the senior and that was the point of confidence.
Then came the U-20 and go to Ajax.

-At some point a young man said he dreamed of playing for Barcelona ...
-Before meeting Guariola Pere, my current agent, and had this illusion that desire, that dream of a chance on that computer. Obviously he is a person related to Barcelona by his brother, but work situations are totally different relationships. If Guardiola wants me, I also want no matter who represents me.

-Transferred to Groningen for a little over 1 million euros, Ajax paid for you 10 times and 30 times Liverpool initial pass, How do you feel those numbers?
'That comforting, and makes explicit the good work you are doing one. Thanks to that, it is recognized that in recent years I have worked well. I continue to grow and my dream is always to reach a larger Europe. I will always be grateful to all the teams I played, but I'm thinking about the numbers.

- What is your assessment of its passage through the Ajax?
'I think the best season was the last, because I came top scorer was the team captain, was elected best player and won the Dutch Cup. One appreciates the fact of getting a degree and raise a glass, but obviously my goal was to become Dutch champions.

- How did the move to Liverpool?
-Obviously at first I felt embarrassed because there are many eyes watching you. You feel the pressure of what the club has paid for you, but I tried to live as quiet as possible, not to think that many people would be watching me and motivated and focused only on my computer. The best concentration and motivation should have was to go with the same mentality in which they played in Groningen, the National at Ajax and in the selection. That is the best formula.

- What about life in England ...?
'I'm not much feel the changes, I feel comfortable being at home with family. Amsterdam is obviously completely different to Liverpool, but this is a big city, people treat me great and I can not complain at all.

- Do you intimidated having to replace Fernando Torres?
No, because it had just brought another striker (Andy Carrol) and do not feel neither the pressure of wanting to prove anything. Fernando we know the quality he is, so I had to limit myself to play my game.

- Did you contact him?
Yes, it does get a few days not to pass it and just had mine done. He told me the same player that came to be, not to try to change, that Liverpool are a great team, I will go along way to grow. The truth came to me great advice because it was wrong, was absolutely right.

- Who has established major link in the locker room?
-My relationship with Dirk Kuyt is good because we speak Dutch and he was perfect to have a partner who spoke that language, just as Babel had gone. I have also much to do with Spanish speakers: Maxi Rodriguez, Lucas Leiva, Raul Meirelles, Pepe Reina, and Glenn Johnson.

- What is your assessment of this half season at Liverpool?
'It was a difficult year because it started very badly. Then, in mid-tournament, started to play better, they started to win more games and just missing two days we had the opportunity to ensure the Europa League. We lost our fault the choice, losing the home against Tottenham.

-Going to the World Cup, is it a fair champion Spain?
-I think it was the best team, best playing football.

- How did you feel in the game against Ghana where his hand except the defeat 'in extremis'?
He gathered a lot in that last minute. I was able to react in a split and I did. I think the worst is to go and hit a kick and injure an opponent. I tried to avoid a goal and then missed the penalty that was not me, was the player of Ghana. Uruguay merits did not deserved to lose the way I was going to lose in the last minute with an injustice.

-In his opinion, who is the best player in the world today?
-Today, I think the player is clear and not disputed: it is Leo Messi.

-Has more than 500,000 supporters on Facebook, How did your interest in social networks?
-It is good that people know what you do every day, which is the coexistence concentrations, to know that you're constantly traveling ... Used to be closer to the people and that fans know me better.

-You noted in an interview with DB Lasarte was the coach who most marked, how he lived his departure from the Royal Society?
-It hurts the relationship he had with him, which was constantly. I was somewhat surprised because I had worked well the last two seasons, which had risen to the top flight after several seasons.

Might be an old interview.

By massive coincidence, I was in the doctors on Tuesday and there was a 4-4-2 mag from a couple of years ago with a Suarez interview in it. He stated in it that he'd love Man U to come in for him but his all time goal was to play for Barca, which he said he will defo do at some point.

Might have changed all that now he's played for us. Might.

glenjo speaks spanish?
i mean apart from translating "i paid for this toilet seat", which i assume he knows in most languages

Yeah. From 2009/2010. Saurez is a good egg. Leave the goofy beast be. Show some love la were better at it than then being jarg. Save all your jarg for blerts.
