Sunlit Uplands

It would be unfortunate if this provoked some copycat attacks on ex leaders in other Countries like the UK and America

Big shout out for gun control, seems like the guy who shot the Japanese fella had to build his own.
The great thing is you're not just going to shoot somebody on a whim this way. You really, really have mulled it over, the pros and the cons, and tested your resolution by the time you finished making your gun. He's not in custody right now going 'WTF did I do that for?'

Add Kemi Baenoch and Preti Patel to that list..

These decendents of immigrants candidates that truelly scare me in every Tory list. Moggs over them any day for me…

Other than the fact the UK really could do with sensible leadership just now. It's horrendous.

It's just praying and hoping that somehow Kier manages some miracle and gets people on side and we move on from the Tory debacle.

Remains to be seen how much it matters anyway. If the polls are to be believed his personal ratings are little or no higher than Boris's in any case.

A chimp that has been trained to throw darts at a notice board with suggestions pinned to it would make a better government that this current shower of charlatans.

Starmer is a bore, a grass, has the charisma of summer bins, has possibly never had an original thought, could well be a spy, and would still be an upgrade on that cunt Boris by orders of magnitude.

What? Labour are ready to lead.. haven't you heard Keir giving those stellar emergency broadcasts after every Boris scandal?

Is that what he says? I kinda drift off a bit when Sir Keir starts talking.

That's why I was kinda giving the benefit of the doubt that I might have genuinely missed some big policy announcements. Sounds like I haven't.

They’ve got 6 aims for now till 2030, which are very very high level. No policies mentioned on how they’ll meet them.

It’s probably better for Starmer not to put out detailed plans - it might not leads to the RW press pulling them apart or lying about it needing a magic money tree or being woke or something similar.

It’s not as if the Tories don’t regularly lie in their manifesto’s but don’t get held to account in the same way.

The party of low taxation is anything but and Boris has been spaffing money anywhere he can if he thinks it’ll keep in power and avoids him having to give out any bad news.

Nevermind the press and the Tories, he'd get ripped to pieces by his own party first if he presented policies (not lefty enough, not in line with his leadership promises etc)

Still.. Stevies point is the correct one. Last time Tories were accused of cherry picking parts for their own manifesto.

If I was Labour, I'd be keeping my cards close during this chaos too.

Most of the outraged clowns were on their doorsteps clapping for his life barely a year ago, it made their feels feel all good and fluffy. Instead choosing now to get upset about policies, corruption and cover-ups, why don't they just find a quite place and proceed to clap their feels back to their good place? I don't get it. There's really no need for so much stress and anger directed at the government. Just keep calm and clap.
