It won't be I reckon. Tory MPs will pick them as supposed to be in place in a week to allow for the budget. So not following their own party rules for leadership elections I'm guessing. Yet another example of them making shit up as they go along to suit themselves. Of course rules can be changed.

Word is that BoJo doesn’t have enough backing to get to 100, while Sunak & Mordaunt do - theory being that once it’s confirmed those 2 - Mordaunt will pull out and take a top cabinet role instead - maybe Home Secretary - guess it depends on whether Sunak would keep Hunt as chancellor - would have to be one of those 2.
BoJo is likely to get done by Standards & Privileges Committee.
Hopefully this is the end of that buffon Reece-Mog and they keep Patel & Braverman away from any ministerial positions.

If Boris had sense, he'd pull out. It's a terrible time for him to go back in, he should wait for Sunak to have it a while, as pretty much anyone is very likely to fail, and then take it on in a year or two.
