Why's er man from the Smashing Pumpkins holding the trophy? 😉
The only problem is that every EPL teams budget far outstrips the majority of the other European clubs, so small clubs my hoop.I am prob in the minority but like West Ham the other year I love the new formats that allow small teams to win big on the big stages in Europe let their players taste success they are normally watching only the elite clubs get.
These Spurs will remember this day til the day they die as the best sports moment and of their miserable Spurs supporting lives.
Delighted for them, delighted for Ange, Son and all the players.
A beautiful story for all bar Utd and Arsenal.
Four birds won a trophy this season.

That last part is mainly right - sometimes you need to win something to get that feeling of achievement, one of the reasons I believe we won the league under Klopp was because we had won the CL the previous season. It gave us the belief despite coming 2nd in the league that season we won the CL. I was in the state to give up on Klopp had we lost our CL final against Spurs - because it would have been 4 finals in a row that we would have lost under his management.Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou, speaking to TNT Sports, said: "I’m still taking it all in. I know what it means for this football club. The longer it goes, the harder it is to break that cycle.
"I could sense the nerves in everyone at the club and until you take that monkey off your back you never understand what it feels like. We have a young group and I hope by tasting this, the players feel different about themselves and what it means to them is unbelievable.
“I’ve always felt knockout football is different to league football and when you’re in that situation it comes down to good organisation, having a real gameplan and moments and you can minimise moments by having a strong foundation.
“I felt we were going to be really hard to break down. We could’ve been better in transitions but I felt comfortable that if we got ahead we could deal with most of what Manchester United would throw at us."
On his quote in September of "I always win things in my second season," Postecoglou added: "People misinterpreted me. It was not me boasting, just me making a declaration and I believed it. I had this thing inside me more than anything else.
"I know our league form has been unacceptable, but coming third was not going to change this football club, winning a trophy would, that was my ambition and I was prepared to wear it if it did not happen. People kept reminding me of it because we were getting closer but I'm happy with that."
Haha no way I was watching that shit show. I went to bed and woke up this morning certain United would have won it - absofuckingdelighted Spurs somehow snatched it ! 16 (6) United to 3 (1) for Spurs, daylight robbery - wonderful isn't it !If it goes to extra time then I'm going to bed.
Oh that's sweet. Nice linear coincidence.Four birds won a trophy this season.

If Forest beat them at the City ground and Villa win at OT then your wish will come true.I'm fine with 6 teams in the CL. English football on top of the world. And no Man Utd at the table.
Would be even sweeter if Chelsea slip up too.
It’s clear from the above they sacrificed the league for this. They bet the house and won. I think it would be foolish to let him go.If spurs keep him they're foolish
Winning a trophy that united borderline gifted them by defensive errors and being awful in attack shouldn't paper over how awful they've been
20 losses in the league in no way shape or form should be acceptable. We've prioritised cups on the past and never been that bad. It’s clear from the above they sacrificed the league for this. They bet the house and won. I think it would be foolish to let him go.

It’s Spurs not Liverpool. They had a huge injury crisis and he said himself they decided in Jan to prioritise the cups and sacrifice the league. We also have everyone taking the piss out of Utd for losing to Spurs in a final. Can’t have it both ways. It shows how incredible an achievement it was for Ange. It was a massive gamble and the only acceptable outcome was winning a trophy, they beat Utd and City and us in the first league of the semi in the league cup. They went two steps further in the Europa. They have a young team and this will be a huge springboard for them and they will all believe in Ange now. Don’t forget he had Spurs right at the top in first season for a decent part of it before falling away. I wouldn’t be surprised if they start strongly next season with Ange.20 losses in the league in no way shape or form should be acceptable. We've prioritised cups on the past and never been that bad.

Ha.Were you happier for Man U's 20th or Spurs' first European trophy or the twins?!?!
