The new number 9…

Isak is apparently contracted until 2028. Kind of hard to believe that's too big a concern for Newcastle. He'll be nearly 29 by then - anyone seriously interested is going to want him while he's in his prime.

I can't even be bothered thinking about Isak. Newcastle hold all the cards and they're not poor. I don't think we're the sort of the club that will go to desperate lengths to unsettle a player. At most we can request he submits a transfer request and wait how they is received.

The bottom line is Isak signed a six year deal with no release clause. He also signed with Newcastle early in a transfer window when we were still reportedly sniffing around him. He's likely going to have to get on with it, and so will we.

Is agree, as much as I think he's be a perfect fit for us. I'm not sure it's worth it.
There has to be some 20-22 year old somewhere that we can take a punt on. Or a Mitrovic type who might not be sexy but fucking gets you goals.

The data guys must rate Isak's numbers as streets ahead of those of the other options if we're willing to overlook his injury record.

Sesko's 22. Just sayin'.

We would be stupid not to sniff around though. You know when you start researching a product you need and you look at the budget ones, and they aren't budget at all, and they're pretty shit given the expense? All of a sudden it pushes you to look at higher priced goods, which actually seem to have value.

I'll be honest though, I think isak for like 150 million is ludicrous as well. It's just not as ludicrous as the prices touted for the rest of this shit.

We went through a period of time where strikers were overlooked and now they're rarer than they used to be at a certain level. The real moneyball would be doing a Chelsea with youth talent but just looking at undervalued youth positions relative to the bias of the current meta.
