I hate the fucker, but fuck me he's good, & offers aggression & a very direct approach in an area where we're overflowing with talent but often miss both those qualities.
I asked cos watching this City Chelsea game I find myself jealous of both Aguero & Costa, wondering how much better we'd be with either of them in our side.

I suppose the other argument you could make is an upgrade on Lovren. If we had another Top class CB with matip we'd be in good shape at the back and you'd back us to score in most games now even with a couple of squad players in. But I'd rather win the league with 4-2s and 6-3s thanks very much.
Yes, he's a brilliant player but doesn't quite fit in my mind. Maybe I see him as being a bit too disruptive to the game. Lots of little niggly incidents doesn't quite fit the flow of our play. And could he play the wide role when needed?

Would play perfectly in our system but probably offers more of a goal threat than any of the current players bar Sturridge, and he doesn't totally suit our system
Despite your lack of reasoning (on this one I think it's obvious though), that's a good shout actually.
He's single handedly won Utd enough games the last couple of seasons that it's easy to argue he'd improve our points total.
This is my doubt too. Whether he'd fit with our one touch tippy tappy bellend football in that central area. Maybe you can't have both direct aggressive football & that though?
Fuck realism. I want to know who people think would singlehandedly improve us from any Premiership team, not who we can realistically get.
Interesting so many (including myself) are saying attackers, despite us scoring so many & arguably conceding too often.
I think we found out a couple of seasons ago that a few top players in attacking positions can forgive so many sins elsewhere. Also they're so hard to get and keep that if we got a free pick it'd be mental not to go for an Aguero/hazard/Sanchez.
And who doesn't love watching skillful goalscorers in their team?
Diego Costa or Aguero or Kane
Having a world class finisher who can score 20 goals in the league means you have a better chance of wining the title, as everyone knows
If I was looking at other positions then obviously a player like Kante would be amazing from a defensive and midfield solidity perspective
But if it's only one, then I wouldn't care: any from Costa, Aguero or Kane.

Unfortunately, Costa. Hate the bastard, but he has become a 6 ft 2 inch version of Suarez. Presses all over the field, makes cunning runs, does whatever it takes to win, holds up the ball and brings others into play and he has size on top of that. Most dangerous player in the league at the moment.
