If this really was done earlier in the day, then I'd assume we've been working on a replacement since? I'd say it's no surprise to the club that he wants to go, there's been rumours for weeks.
 
we wont get a swap and we wont have any other deal lined up, at the moment ive gota say our midfield isnt good enough, and i dont have much faith in gerrards fitness if im honest, n im worried that kenny hasnt even been puttin jonjo on the bench lately

Sturridge and £10m would do for a 28 year old. Especially considering he'd only be on the fringes of the first team starters, not an automatic.
