That gaping hole we had in midfield yesterday and poor Macca managing the entire defensive side of the midfield on his own at times would be punished by a better team.

Playing against a better team Gravy wouldn't have been so adventurous. The opposition had a lot to do with the tactics (now there's a surprise!) and 6-0, which could have been far more whilst never giving up a single real chance, means we got it right.

The fact Spurs cruised the group stage in Europe should help perspective

Fair I guess but let’s see. My vivid memory is seeing a VERY ragged back line with Virge possibly over compensating

He’s improved markedly and it’s great to see but needs to continue now til the end of the season.

I think we can say leading the PL since that date IS the definition. Numbers in themselves mean little as they need to be measured against the both other players and the teams played. And this doesn't included chances created where he is also in the Top 5 if not leading.
