UFC

The Jones fans put it down to time and age. He dominated the older generation of fighters who had never seen anything like him before. But times change, the new generation now know all about him, they have improved, adapted, plagiarised his technique in some cases. So that's why he appears to have declined, because he is competing against fighters who are simply better, fitter, smarter and more athletic than the ones he was used to.

Dana doing a usual Dana today I see. Going from his stance that he's the man and Tony vs Khabib is defo happening and he's the man and when he says an event is happening it's defo happening. To his new stance today of 'everyone knew that it wasn't happening, it's off'. He such a mong.
Will have to see if they offer Tony another fight in a warehouse somewhere.

“Right now, if they give me location I can come out of Russia and go into any countries. U.S, Abu Dhabi, doesn’t matter I’m going to fight 100%. Just send me location,” Khabib said. “Everyday I send Dana White a message saying, “Hey, where’s my location?” This is not my mistake. There’s too much crazy stuff, too many questions, I don’t have an answer.

"Here's my location you little fool, right in front of you, do something, do something about it!" hahahah good times

So it's on then, for now. Tony vs Gaethje and Ngannou vs the bloke that splatted overeem.
Dana also claiming he's rented an island for the next few events.

Democratic senator fucked him by putting pressure on disney.
He said he's still cracking on with fight island which is not in american territory, island should be complete in a month he said.

In another month Vince McMahon will have walked up to half the roster with his billionaire strut and contract in hand. I'd sign if I was them, that Island is no way getting finished inside a month.

Well that was a relief to have some sport back, and it was a great card.

That fight between Tony and Gaethje was ridiculous, how Tony wasn't ko'd about 50x times god only knows. Really good main event, didn't disappoint.

Glad CCC has allegedly retired, never liked him. Cruz was in no sort of shape to make a comeback, he looked like he'd been out 3yrs.

Ngannou, stupid power and speed. Surely it's only a matter of time until he gets the belt that's rightfully his. He's much better than he was 2yrs ago when he lost to Stipe, and he'd just batter Cormier before he got anywhere near him.

Werdum, finished. He'll be lucky to be a gatekeeper now.

Cerrone was useless as per usual, lost 4 on the bump and beaten by Pettis who's just about ranked top 15. Obviously he was a ninja when he fought conor though.

The Hardy fight was very fishy to me. If it was a lesser organisation I'd say that Castro defo took a dive. He was battering Hardy from pillar to post, Hardy couldn't walk, Castro didn't gas but decided to just stop beating him up and let Hardy then win a decision due to activity. Very fishy.

Great card though, really enjoyed it. Was interesting to see an event with no crowd, I didn't mind it at all, the only time I thought it was a bit weird was at the end of fights when the fighters like Gaethje were jumping the ring to celebrate etc.

I ended up watching most of the fights.

Does Ferguson have another coach? or just Bravo? cos whats the point in having an admittedly world class(but complete loon) BJJ coach and then you spend all the time standing..and getting smashed. He tried one lame Imanari roll and that was it.
I also wonder how much the whole badass/savage weight cut thing affected him also.

Cruz looked like he could have handled another few seconds to the bell

He's been in camp for several months training for khabib, so attempting take downs was probably crossed off his usual training routine due to it being suicidal stupidity. That might be why he was forced to go with a stand-up fight against an absolutely brutal puncher.

Na, not having that.
His coach is a BJJ nut, hes a black belt he should have tried to change it up after getting smacked in the face for the whole of the first round, and then the second. He's actually to slow to think he needs to change his game up a little.
Well let's see when this fight Island comes off and maybe Mcgregor can get himself a decent fight instead of Cowboy and back up the online chat.
Gaethje might even offer Khabib a difficult fight with his precision punches.

As far as I'm aware, the top guys all have a 'suite' of coaches they work with, whether they bring in individual specialists as a lot do, or they get members of the coaching staff to do individual drills, but the problem with Tony that is he takes no notice a bit like conor and thinks he knows more than all of them (conor's coach actually says he knows more about anything as him, which is completely the wrong midset), and he doesn't spar. Saying that, Gaethje is just better than him as is Khabib.

Re the weight cut, he's an idiot. He cut down to fight weight for the provisional date that had been cancelled and then pretty much stayed there, depleted.

Yep Cruz coulda gone on another couple of seconds but he's kidding himself if he's thinking he wasn't imminently about to get smashed. 5seconds or 5mins, it was coming, he was rubbish.

Conor retires for the umpteenth time, so we'll take that with a pinch of salt as he talks nonsense. But I don't see a clear path of where he goes here, the top 4 guys in the 170 division are too big, walking around at close to 200lb, I think that might be a step too far to take on all of them. Then at 155 there's only really Khabib he wants, but he doesn't deserve a go at him before Gaethje and Tony, so that could be anther year or 2 away. So does he take another joke fight like vs Cerrone? Like Anderson? How is he going to take them on for the next 18months to keep him in position for Khabib.

Dana getting more and more grief for only paying the fighters 18% of turnover, which is really bad. So Jon Jones and Masvidal are currently on his case. It makes Don King look like a saint. But unless the Ali act comes on, there is nothing that is going to change ever as he holds all the cards, and the parent company endevour are that far in the shit financially, they can't afford to do anything else.

Khabib's old man has passed away from Corona, he'd been ill with it for some time. I'd suggest that the UFC absolutely forget the idea of ever booking Khabib vs conor now, can't be trusted.

Usman vs Masvidal now then. Don't like Masvidal, nor think he's that good, but fair play to him taking on Usman with 1wks notice. Surely Dana has given him a decent cut of the ppv for doing that.
If Masvidal loses, that'll be 3 losses in his last 6.
3 good fight on the card now, looking forward to it.

On the other hand, if he wins it will be 4 out of 4. I have a feeling he will pull it off, he must be confident to even take the fight and know exactly how he will knock him out, and Usman isn't so good at avoiding punches which helps.

Yeah I saw this, he's an absolute fucking idiot. This is the same guy that said he only wanted his girlfriend in his corner coaching him for fights now moving forwards.
Wonder if the UFC will cast a blind eye towards it just like they did with conor and jones.

They're in desperate need of some virtue signalling gestures, having carried on with business as usual during the pandemic and protests, whilst running into the arms of a non-female non-environmental non-jew friendly petrodollar state. I think they'll use this opportunity to restore some goodwill by eviscerating the poor bastard.

They could do it in another way by giving him fights again people that they know are going to maul him. But still, Dana doesn't care what the fighters do outside the octagon, nor does he care how much they get paid, so he'll just ignore it.

By all reports, Masvidal has had a full camp for this weekends fight, so he can scratch that off his list of excuses if anything goes wrong this weekend.

Masivdal's foot was a balloon after that "fight". Hopefully the judges didn't fall asleep and get robbed of the brown envelopes they'd earned from the previous fight.

Masvidal deserves a balloon foot after offering nothing in that main event. He's had a full camp, and was capable of fighting 1 round, just got dominated start to finish hence the 2x 50-45 cards.
As for the Holloway fight, I can see why some could have scored that fight either way, I don't think it was a big controversy, no one in their right mind would have given all the rounds to Max, especially 3&4. It's Max's own fault, if you try and win a title via the judges, then you'd better win all 5 rounds. You're fucking stupid if you think you can take a belt by winning 2 or 3 rounds, you don't deserve the belt doing it that way. Win all the rounds or get a stoppage - job done.

That's literally how Volkan won the belt off him in the first place. He never even won that fight either, the judges just handed him the decision and the belt for lols. As well as for the future Aussie ppv buys.

The ref was utterly ridiculous. Guy tapping for his damn life, ref just chills waiting for him to pass out.

Can't believe that's it, hopefully he changes his mind.
