I don't know how else to say it, but Kerkez has a face of a Man United player and that is something I need to get over. I do enjoy his game, though. Now Frimpong is sealed, I thought we may move for Hato over Kerkez and consolidate the defence, but it looks like we're going for it. I can only think Grav is going to drop into a back three in game, or the FB's are going to be taking it in turns to fly forward. These are arguably the two most desirable fullbacks in the game right now and that we may have them wrapped up before the start of the window is a promising sign. At least Slot will have a full preseason with them to make it work.

Definitely. I just hope the midfield doesn't become too 'workmanlike' to accommodate them. Midfield creativity was non-existent under Klopp and this current midfield has more to offer, so how Slot gets the balance right will be interesting.

This guy is the real deal. Think of all the space and opportunities our team and system has made for Robbo on the left in the past (which comes from teams overloading on marking Salah). Now give that to a LB who looks to have a more solid shot on him. This will be awesome, looks high energy & stamina too and decent at the back when having to defend.

Every time I see Kerkez he really reminds me of Ben Doak. Makes me wonder if he could be converted to a good attacking right back. Also makes me wonder if generally the sort of players who used to be jinky wingers in a 442 are now being developed as full backs.

We also need a 9, but I haven't a clue who the right choice is there. If we lock this down early, lots of time to figure out the attack. Especially with other sides at the Club World Cup.

Yep he’s really impressed this season and contrary to popular belief I think Robbo can still do a job here and should be retained to push him all the way.
Now that’s a proper full-back compilation. Speed, tackles, goals and lots of great crosses and cutbacks. Looking at this makes me really want a Kane/Lewandowski type #9 - I think with all the service coming from the wings that type of striker would feast on the chances.
