Romano has been consistently saying we're scouting/after Kerkez since January - nice to see it progressing.

It's rare a signing that it makes sense on so many levels and has been telegraphed since Nov/December. The stats above prove how much it's time to move on from Robbo. Given his reliance on speed, energy and workrate, he was a player that was never going to age well and the drop off is evident. He's still worth keeping around and selling Tsimikas.

I'm very excited.

But seriously, we kept the second best defence in the league with Robbo and Trent. I think we'll be fine with Frimps and Kerkez. Not as tight as 4 centre back Arsenal, but good enough. The no. 6 will probably have to drop in to cover more often

Good point.

Sure hope we'll be fine. Hell we might even wirh better with a right back who makes an effort to defend and a left back who doesnt make as many mistakes.

I think attacking wise we will be much better too.

Tbf arsenal's back 4 when fit is 4 CBS (calfiori and timber/white), with 2 mobile DMS in front in rice and partey

We do pretty well with a modified 8 as a DM, and 2 very fucking attacking full backs

We'll be better next year

Gravy's going be doing a LOT of dropping and holding between Virg and Ibou, as these two fullbacks compete to see who can outscore / out-assist each other... I'd be worried about the defending side of things, but it worked out well enough when Trent & Robbo played as glorified wingers and Fabs covered the holes behind them, so why not..?

We're going to be re-adopting the Brendan Rodgers mantra of trying to win every match 6-3, I think.

I don't know how else to say it, but Kerkez has a face of a Man United player and that is something I need to get over. I do enjoy his game, though. Now Frimpong is sealed, I thought we may move for Hato over Kerkez and consolidate the defence, but it looks like we're going for it. I can only think Grav is going to drop into a back three in game, or the FB's are going to be taking it in turns to fly forward. These are arguably the two most desirable fullbacks in the game right now and that we may have them wrapped up before the start of the window is a promising sign. At least Slot will have a full preseason with them to make it work.

That's a tough question given the amount of talents out there but if there's one we can have now, I would hope it's Milos Kerkez or Antonio Silva.
