Liverpool's Ngog In Owls Link

Liverpool forward David Ngog is the latest name to be linked with a loan move to Hillsborough as the new Championship season approaches.

Owls boss Brian Laws is still on the lookout for a new striker to bolster his attacking options for the 2009-10 campaign, and has revealed that he's looking for a Premier League forward on loan.

And Ngog would fit the bill, with Reds boss Rafa Benitez willing to let the youngster go out on loan to gain some valuable first team experience.

Wednesday's Championship rivals Ipswich Town are also said to be interested in the player's services.

Laws has already been linked with West Ham's Freddie Sears, who's since moved on loan to Crystal Palace, while Everton hitman Victor Anichebe has also been linked with a switch to S6.

A loan move would be good for N'gog, although it might leave us lacking depth in the striking department. Unless Nemeth and Pacheco step up of course.

I have grown to hate loan moves. They never ever come back to make any kind of impact.
N'gog is realistically only really going to be a back up option he may as well stay and remain as such. If we don't need him as a back up option then we may as well sell him.

N'gog will shit goals in a few years.. i think a loan would do him good =]

If we loan him out he won't 'shit goals' for us though because he will never come back. They never ever do!!

Like Juande Ramos shits trophies?

Likewise.

If he's good enough to be on the bench for us, he should be a decent option for any lower Premiership club.

I'd rather he stayed though.

We've had no kids good enough that are worth coming back. Defoe went on loan to the championship while a West Ham and it worked out well for him.
I'm guessing this means rapping ryan is our back up striker then?

Maybe, but I am of the opinion that any young player who is here has the potential, its just a case of how that is used.

Sending a player out on loan doesn't have a very good proven track record for us. The track record is better (though admittedly still hardly great) for players who have stuck around, played the odd game and gradually broken through.

They've just got to take the chance when it's given to them

Benitez isn't going to suffer fools gladly, nor give young players the time to 'bed in' - it's not his way.

Did Warnock go out on loan?
[/quote]

Yes, to Coventry, where he was young player of the year, or something like that.

i'd love to see wash get a regular run of games elsewhere. the fact that we've never seen the benefit of loaning our players is simply because they haven't been good enough.

I would much prefer him loaned out to Bolton or a team of a similar ilk. The guy needs Premiership experience and a regular run of games.

I think it depends who else we bring in. The second half of last season, Wash was effectively Torres's main back-up. If we don't sign another striker, we're going to need him.

he.hemm .. Voronin

He's not very good at all N'Gog.

He tries though you know.. But his tricks seems forced, he gets continually outmuscled by defenders despite being 6 foot 2.

I'd honestly much rather we sold him now, while people don't know that he's shite yet.

He is just turned 20 you know?

Against England under-21's he was fucking brilliant. All our media went on about Adam Johnson (who was very good) but N' Gog fucking DESTROYED them (Mancienne and Wheater I think).

Oh, and despite it being rather witty, Wash is a fucking shite nickname.

What can you base this upon? The guy only played an outside role for us last season, his first season at that in a new country also only 21 years old.....

I really cant understand some people. Not all players grow into world beaters at 20 years old..... They grow through training and match experience.

Who the fuck are you to say N'gog is shit or will be shit?
