Well it would be ruida not to

This is my problem though. He's not played much this month so isn't considered good enough and yet we want him. Even on loan it sounds bottom of the barrel.

How do you know the reasons he hasn't played the last 2 games wasn't due to us being in talks to take him? We're not going to know more than Sunderland fans on how well he's done and they're pretty annoyed with this.

& It's deadline day tomorrow in the winter window, of course it's only going to be short term options.

I’m surprised so many are negative at getting in a versatile loan player who will improve us defensively.

At the most base level he's a body in the door that 1) means szob isn't played at RB, and 2) gives Gomez a chance to manage his minutes

Even if he's a bit shite, we know slot trusts him so he will play

Perhaps we needed klopp to get the spreadsheet squad to fucking do anything useful

We have nailed the "let us make a move for a player with just enough time left in the window so that the opposition does not have time for a replacement, and we can show that we tried" move.

Credit to Hughes and Edwards - I am feeling both "I am angry that the only player we made a move for is a Sunderland reject" and "I am disappointed at us for not signing him" at the same time. There really was not enough time for the first feeling of anger to transition into the second feeling of disappointment. Well played, sirs!!!!
