[article=http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2514924/Andre-Wisdom-fined-speeding.html#ixzz2lxGHMUJA ]Liverpool defender and England Under 21 captain Andre Wisdom has been ordered to pay an £840 fine for speeding after pleading guilty in court.

The 20-year-old was caught driving at 61mph — 21 mph over the 40mph speeding limit — on Moorgate Road in Kirby on October 1 last year.

He had previously denied the allegation but a representative for Wisdom admitted the charge in court on his behalf on Thursday morning.

Neil Audley, prosecuting, said Wisdom had initially responded to a speeding letter from the police and had included his driver details but had completed the form in a way that suggested he wasn’t driving at the time of the offence.

Warburton said Wisdom had a clean licence and told magistrates that the player had a disposable income 'in excess of £450 a week'.

He was fined £400 and ordered to pay £400 costs and £20 victim surcharge and was also given three penalty points on his licence.

Wisdom, who made his Liverpool debut in September 2012, has got into trouble with a vehicle before.

In November he got his Porsche stuck in a muddy ditch and had to leave it there.

He was on his way to Derby's stadium, where he is currently on loan.

It was discovered by mountain biker Pete Irons, came across the empty Porsche Panamera Turbo and informed police.

Mr Irons, 41, said: 'I didn't really think much of it when I first saw it. I thought whoever it was was unlucky to have done that but I also thought it would be gone by the afternoon.

'When I came back through the woods a little later with friends it was still there.

'We were all joking about the poor guy who had managed to get it stuck and how much money it was going to cost them.'

'I just can't believe he could have got that far to begin with, then to submerge it in that puddle.

'We are miles from any main road and the track doesn't go anywhere, it's just mind boggling how he ended up there.'

'He would have got so muddy trying to escape it too - there was no way he could have got out without getting covered.'
