I saw a funny clip on TV last week - it was a penalty at the end of a game. The ball hit the top of the crossbar and flew straight up in the air. The penalty-taker collapsed to the ground and covered his face while the keeper ran to the bench to celebrate. While this was going on, the ball fell down again into the goalmouth and trickled over the line.
Ha. That's bad, but to be fair he got a bit of a bad bounce just before he shot it over the bar.

I had already posted that penalty miss in the youtube thread! Anyway I heard there's some debate about if the goal should stand as it hits the crossbar and moves away from the goal. Some people say in penalty shoot-outs that it should of been declared a miss. Anyone know?

Not sure. The rule says that 'The ball may touch the goalkeeper, posts and/or crossbar any number of times' and strictly speaking all this has done has been crossbar and in.
Like you say though, maybe this changes when the ball comes away from the goal
