Performances are getting better.
Results NEED to start coming now.

West Brom will be a good test of how we are progressing given the hooping we got opening day of the season.
Then we simply have to take maximum points from the next 3 league games.

Style is great. We need to convert now.
I think we will.
I like what we are becoming.
 
We've got two points from fifteen and still haven't solved the problem of the lack of goals. Are we forgetting we dominated loads of games last year that we dropped countless points from them? Different system, different manager, same problem. I simply cannot see where the goals are coming from. I think we're in trouble, I really do. I don't think we'll go down but I doubt we'll finish top half either

You don't think we'll come top half?! There are many worse teams than us, we haven't played a bottom half team yet.

Anyway didn't Ferguson finish 13th in his first season?

We've played West Brom and Sunderland and got a point out of them. And fuck Ferguson

We're going to be world beaters because we play well (and lost) against Utd. "We knew the first 5 games were going to be hard." The way things are, every game is hard. Where are all these imaginary goals going to come from to get us enough points to avoid relegation.
 
We'll struggle for goals until January which will hopefully lead to Henry bankrolling a couple of players.

But agree with Oncey, I love what we're becoming. Its looking good. But we need some points on the board now.

I'll reserve judgement on that until the end of the season.

Everyone goes on about how well we played last season and how we were unlucky, that was the case in some games but i'd say in between 12-15 games our performances were embarrassing, completely woeful and if it's the same again this season, doubts will creep in.

I think we're on the right road, the players look hungry and seem to be enjoying their football. we all know where the problem lies and it also doesn't help when we concede a goal every time the opposition comes forward so we really need to tighten up defensively.

Playing badly is not the point. Not scoring when you're playing 'well' is a big problem.

True. It's about sticking the ball in the back of the net at the end of the day. However, we can't legislate for FSG's fuck up in the last transfer window.

All Rodgers can do is keep the team motivated and buying into his philosophy. If we continue to see evidence of this we cant complain too much.

Well, I think we can if we carry on not scoring enough and conceding too many, right?

Sorry Gary but I don't really give a fuck about the team being motivated and philosophies. The only evidence I need to see is two points out of fifteen. I don't hold Rodgers wholly to blame for it either but he will soon become the one held accountable by the lizards

Not really, no. The manager can't legislate for missed chances/poor finishing. What he can control is team selection, tactics, performance level etc.

If them things aren't up to scratch then he's liable to be criticised.

As supporters its all we can do. Logic dictates we're going to struggle until we get another striker, but faith says we will do well.

Us not scoring enough goals isn't new.

But we did manage to keep a quite a few clean sheets last season and this season we look incapable of doing that. It's more or less the same players in defence. I think with the way Rodger's set us up we're a bit more vulnerable to the counter attack.

We really, really have to don't we?

I was quite happy to ignore results for the first 6 months as long as I could see where we were going. I still am, but have you seen the run of games we have after those three you mentioned?

Everton (A)
Newcastle (H)
Chelsea (A)
Wigan (H)
Swansea (A)
Spurs (A)

If we don't pick up points soon, November is going to be squeaky bum month.
