AFL

6 goals for Fev at AAMI in the wind. The fucking choker.

What a win for the Bombers. Out on our feet in the last quarter, and we still hung on. 3 men down, and it would have been 4 if I'd been allowed to run onto the filed to knock the fuck out of that useless cunt McPhee.

Just the 7 goals from Fev today.
The choking cunt.

Going to Subiaco tomorrow, allez les Bombers!

I think St Kilda have been doing a 'Nel Craig' preparation and have suffered as a result. If done properly we should see a resurgence of form this week and they will go on to win the flag comfortably.

I take it, and call this a wild stab in the dark, someone called Fev (whoever he is) a choker, and Ryan is taking every opportunity to ram it down this someone's throat.

Ha ha let's see how Fev does in the finals when it really counts against the big teams.

Fev will choke

Ahhh, that's what I like to see DB. Make one last foolhardy prediction, allowing your opponent to deliver the coup de grace.

Textbook DB.

I've been lurking on the thread for ages now. No nought about the AFL but it's turned into a soap now. Will Fev choke or not?
Tune in next week.

I can see your rationale Dreamy.

Probably best to ensure that everyone knows you know fuck all about every sport that exists. Why leave it at football when you can make a cunt out of yourself at all sports eh?

You're wrong about Fevola, and you know what - you now know that too. but instead of holding your hands up and admitting it, you're carrying on trying to make strawberry jam out of dogshite. Everyone has told you you're wrong Dreamy. Not that you needed more than me in the first place, but you got others. People that have a fucking clue too.

Just to spell it out for you even further:
He's kicked more goals over the last 6 years than ANYONE currently playing the game. For a team that haven't played Finals for 6 years.
He's kicked 7 goals or more in a game 22 times. That's more than anyone currently playing the game.
He's currently leading the leading goalkicker in the competition by 6 goals, and will finish the season this weekend as the top goalkicker in the country.
He will be named as the All-Australian full-forward.

You know you're wrong Dreamy. You do, you know it. you made a rash shitty comment, and are now stubbornly refusing to admit it.

You're making a dick out of yourself.

Yet again.

I never once denied any of what you just said.

I merely said that Fev chokes on the big occasion and everything else you have said is immaterial.

Again this year he has proven he chokes under pressure.

Against Hawthorn he had the simpliest of kicks to win the game in the last second and missed.

He did the same thing against St Kilda missing a simple kick with minutes left.

He chokes when under pressure worse than any top player

Sure we live in two different Melbourne's so you'll have to find me 1st!

P.s Chill the f*ck out. I've never seen anyone who claims to be so intelligent get so angry with someone he see's so below him.

In any case I look forward to watching Fev choke in the finals and hold a fake injury when he isn't getting the ball

So Essendon make the 8 as I predicted and I came 2nd in footie tipping at work. Not bad for a guy who knows nothing about AFL.

Looking forward to the finals.

Adelaide were awesome over the weekend but won't trouble the top 2/3.

The list of players who have missed a kick either under pressure, or after the siren:

Nick Riewoldt
Brad Johnson
Jonathan Brown
Anthony Rocca
Jack Riewoldt

Are all those lads "chokers" too?

You bring up the Hawthorn game as some sort of enforcement of your point. He kicked 8 that day to keep Carlton in the fucking game. 8 goals. 8 fucking goals against the reigning premiers. And even then he shaded the inside of the post. It was just bad luck.

The St Kilda game you reference wasn't even the Blues last set shot. Heath Scotland missed an even easier one after Fev's attempt.

All players miss shots for goal, and it's because of the many many variables that a goalkicker has to face. It's not a two-futt putt, it's a fucking kick for goal from 40-50 metres out. There's a reason why most people operate at no better than 50%.
To label someone a "choker" because they do so misses the point, to label Fevola as that, given the infuckingcredible record he's got in front of goal (as I have exmplified above) just highlights how little you know about the game.

I'm trying to be rational with you here, but I've gotta tell you I'm struggling.

You don't kick the goals he has, and finish the season as the Coleman Medal winner by a fucking mile if you're a "choker". You just don't.

Your rationale is missing one major point.

The chances Fev misses when I say he chokes are always relatively simple kicks for a player of his ability.

The Hawthorn game is just a perfect example. He kicked some simply stunning goals that day from impossible positions taking incredible marks, yet with the final kick of the game missed from less than 20 meters straight in front of goal. And from what I've seen of him he does this in alot of big games. You are right that an easier kick was missed after him, but that player isn't anywhere near the same level as Fev.

Anyway we are not disagreeing on the fact that he is a great player as he is just I think he chokes on the big occasion under pressure and you don't fair enough.

Let's see what happens in the finals.

Do you still think St Kilda will not win it?

So as expected the two weakest teams of the 8 are out.

Adelaide could take Collingwood now they are missing two key players.

Can't see past a Geelong St Kilda final though on what I saw over the weekend.

Carlton losing from the position they were in was a surprise, but highlights their need for a defensive specialist. Thornton can only do so much on his own. The Dogs should smash the Lions now anyway.

Collingwood are a good side, but they just coulsn't cope with Saints pressure on the ball. They just get so so many bodies to every contest, making it nigh on impossible to get out or break through.

Still a long way to go, and it's gonna be very interesting to see how sides cope with Adelaide's front 6. They carry on the way they're going and they could be the dominant force in Footy for years to come.

Carlton just completely stopped after going 29 points ahead. It really showed a lack of experience that they tried to just hang on instead of going for the extra goals that would have insured victory. Bradshaw's goal was unreal.

Adelaide for all their attacking power have only won 1 out 7 games against the top 4 this year so it will be interesting to see how they do against a very good Collingwood side who simply got shut down by St Kilda again.

Bradshaw's goal was good yes, but shouldn't have happened. Bower was fucked with cramp, and if you watch it again, Bower couldn't even get over to him to force a smother or even half-attempt to make it difficult.

I suspect Ratten will flog them in pre-season.

Collingwood could win cos it's at the G. But I'd worry they don't have enough effective tall match-ups for Tippett, Burton, Dangerfield, and the Porpoise. they got smashed under the high ball by Riewoldt and Kozzy yesterday.

Pffft, not far off it. And anyway, the Crows should have put them away in that first half when they were annihilating them.

Still, I fancy the Cats to smash Collingwood this Saturday.

And Larry - what a game that was in League. You gotta love how the Broncos don't give two fuck's about defending, and just go for it.

Did Fev or whatever his name is choke yet? That outcome is all i'm waiting for in this thread. Ha.

Hah, no.

His team (Carlton) lost their first final to Brisbane and got eliminated. They were 28 points up at 3/4 time and contrived to lose. Not Fev's fault.

Fev himself finished the season as the Leading Goalkicker, and the scorer of most amount of goals in 1 game. He will also today be crowned as Full-forward in the Team of the Year award.

His mate Setanta whom Dreamy described as being a star in the making, was dropped for the Finals. Cos he's shite.

Perhaps Setanta should go back to Cork and return to his own level of standard.

Is he not cutting it out there?
