Perhaps Setanta should go back to Cork and return to his own level of standard.

Is he not cutting it out there?
He's been here for 4 years, and still can't get a place in the team.

He works his cunt off, and is a bit of a cult hero with the fans. But he's fucking shit, and nowhere near good enough to take up a key position in a team aspiring to finish in the Top 4 next year.

Yesterday, I watched most of the Magpies/Crows game & then the Broncos/Titans in the NRL and it was one of the best day's TV sport in ages. Two superb games.
Yep and even better Ryan was wrong in an AFL thread :p
Pffft, not far off it. And anyway, the Crows should have put them away in that first half when they were annihilating them.

Still, I fancy the Cats to smash Collingwood this Saturday.

And Larry - what a game that was in League. You gotta love how the Broncos don't give two fuck's about defending, and just go for it.
The Cats will run up a cricket score against that defence.

The crows were very very poor after 1st quarter and should have wrapped it up on a number of occasions.

Still looking like a cats Saints final and what a final that would be.

Yeah that's looking like the likely final.

I've got a suspicion the Dogs could cause an upset this Friday. Not sure why, just think they've got a shock result in them.

Did Fev or whatever his name is choke yet? That outcome is all i'm waiting for in this thread. Ha.
In fairness to Fev he never got a chance to choke as the rest of his team did it for him and never got him the ball in the last quarter.

This season goal kicking was down overall and Fev won it with a low score considering last year he got 99 and didn't finish top.

He improved alot this year but needs the same jump in his playing level next year to cement a long term future.

Sure we live in two different Melbourne's so you'll have to find me 1st!

P.s Chill the f*ck out. I've never seen anyone who claims to be so intelligent get so angry with someone he see's so below him.

In any case I look forward to watching Fev choke in the finals and hold a fake injury when he isn't getting the ball
Haha...

Should be a cracking final.

Great win by the Saints and Nick R proved his the best forward in the comp at he moment.

He dragged St Kilda into the final.

Geelong are still favourites for me but it will be very tight.

Can't wait.

Toss of a coin re who's gonna win the Final. Saints hopes depend on how Riewoldt's knee holds up. You can expect Scarlett and Milburn to be working that over for 2 hours anyway.

Gonna be interesting to see what match ups the Cats have for Riewoldt and especially Koschitzke.

Can't quite believe the Cats are contemplating bringing Stokes back in.

im gonna go for the saints cant believe theyve not won the flag since 66!im gonna watch it after the nrl prelim finals cos the broncos are still in and the hawks were utter shite this year.agreed nick is the key for st kilda

From my extremely limited AFL know-how, I hope St Kilda win although I think it will be Geelong.

Speaking of chokers (ahem), have any of you got a clip of Brendan in fine form from this week? Blurt.

I'll take Broncos v Eels for the NRL Grand Final.

The Glory are on the rise; look out!

They showed a bit of Fev on the Footy Show last night. He looked like a proper spa.

Can't see the Broncos winning in Melbourne without Wallace. Lockyer's not 100% either.

Eels? Yeah, probably. Gonna be interesting to see how they attack Kimmorley.

Fev was a disgrace at the awards.

Hitting the producer was brainless to say the least.

Should be very tight with the weather tomorrow

I think the wet suits the Cats more. The Saints played indoors at Etihad all year long, whereas Geelong are well used to slippery conditions from playing at Kardinia.

Expect the Norm Smith winner to come from the midfield. There'll be stoppages aplenty, so I'm going for Joel Selwood.

$2.40 on the Saints is attractive though.

2.40 is very attractive for the saints. The wet should give the Cats an advantage, but considering the Saints like to keep games low scoring it could also help their defence.

I think it really will come down to the bounce of the ball at a couple of key moments this year.

On a sidenote my house got Winderlich, Jason to be the top points scorer for Essendon at the awards on Monday at 50/1.

Jammy b*stard.

Ha.

Noticed you typed "Nick R." the other day to avoid trying to spell Riewoldt too!

Fecking hell Fev could end up at the Swans now.

For those of you not following Aussie news, Fevola is odds on to be dumped out of his club after pucking all over Crown casino at the biggest awards night of the year, punching the producer and generally being a drunken mess on national TV.

He's been up for trade twice before, and on both occassions a deal wasn't even clsoe to being done.

Which is probably what will happen again this year.

His wages could be a stumbling block and I'd still be surprised if Carlton let their 2nd best player go.

It's got nothing to do with his wages.

It's what pick the recruiting club would have to give up in order to get him. The Blues would demand a first round pick, and possibly more.

Hence why this deal has fallen down twice previously.

Actually, just read the full media statement on it.

Everything depends on what the Blues are willing to accept for him.

It's also no coincidence that Fantasia has put out a press release today saying that the one previously done Hall-deal, is now not so watertight. Fev's a much more attractive proposition.

Fev would work well with the bulldogs but I doubt they'll back out of the Hall deal now.

the lions were having a look at fev but Voss said the salary cap was a prob in getting him up here not that i think he would come .Pies or bulldogs look favourites to me.He is a fucking drunken mess but his figures dont lie even thou some on here would call him a chocker

Well I think Dreamy's now quite aware that his "choker" tag was fucking stupid.

Anyway, the Lions would have room if they got rid of Bradshaw which they may well do. He won't go to the Dogs. The Pies may be his only shot, and even that's a long one.

As I said at the beginning of this debate, he could very well end up staying at the Blues.

think the lions did pretty well out of the deal for fev ,as they kept bradshaw as well ,not sure how they will fit them two with brown, could be worth bet or two for next year!

They might lose Bradshaw yet. He could go somewhere in the pre-season draft.

Didn't he reject the new contract offer last week or was I dreaming that.
