box you type inside keeps jumping to the top when you are trying to type

how do you stop the box you type inside (when making a new post of qouting someone) jumping to the top of the box when your post starts to become long? I scroll the box to the bottom but the second I try to type something it jumps back to the top again, this usually happens when a post is longer than 20-25 lines long.
its getting to the stage now where I have to type inside another programe and cut and paste it back into the 6CM box.
surely the box you type inside should continue to expand (down) with the up/down scroll bar getting longer.

It's a known problem with IE8. There's a workaround by clicking the compatibility view icon (looks like a broken page). I'm looking for a fix now

Right, it's a Microsoft issue. I can't fix it - it needs MS to release a fix for it. Options are use Compatability View or use a decent browser like Chrome.

Why te fuck are any of you using IE anyway?

It's shite compared to both Chrome & FireFox. Chrome is way way faster.

Hey this happens to me to!!! When I'm typing I can't see what I'm typing at all. It makes quoting a bollocks.

[/quote]You expect me to understand what any of that mean Sean? It may as well be written in fucking binary.
It's a pain in the arse. My pc doesn't do it but my toplap does.
Hates it!

hahaha. When you use Internet Explorer 8 click the Compatibility View icon:

ie8_compatibility.jpg

It'll put browsing for the site into IE7 mode and problem will be gone. Should remember the setting for each site you use it for too.

Yeah, that happens to me too... What should I do, Sean?

Learn binary.

Done the compatibility thing but it doesn't seem to be working for me, not yet anyway. No biggie but I thought folks ought to know.

Mine seems ok now, and i didnt even do anything.
