There's a difference between complimenting a bunch of superstars and being carried by them though, isn't there? The Barcelona team is such that they would still win major honours with me in place of Busquets, never mind Lucas. The fact is, Lucas' role is an important one, so if we had a better player there, it would obviously be of benefit to us. Of course, if we surrounded Lucas with world class footballers then they'd probably be able to compensate for his inadequacies, but that's missing the point really.

generally on a weekly basis lucas plays good passes now wiz. The odd wonder cross field hollywood pass too. In the same way shelvey says to me, if you can't see lucas is a good passer then i'm sorry.

I see him as an average passer ... I 'good passer' is someone like Fletcher or Carrick I guess, and I don't think Lucas is in the same class as them.

You've jumped to the extreme a bit there, most recognise what he does, it's whether it's enough. He's good but he's not 'that' good.

england not keeping the ball is a huge reason why they get nowhere in international finals. HUGE.
 
Another MOM performance by Lucas. Is he still the problem in our midfield? Do we still need another defensive midfielder?
Lucas was basically controlling the midfield on his own.

Coin flip for me between Lucas and Suarez for man of the match.

If he played like that far more often i don't think anyone would have any complaints.
