Finished the season very strongly..

Been arguably the most consistent side in the Premier League since the restart.. They where well out of it prior to the restart and finished 3rd..

Any other season tbf they wouldn't have even got into the Top 4 with that points total.

Fernandes appears to be their 'Suarez'.. Top drawer player..

Greenwood seems to be the most gifted natural finisher I've seen, since Robbie Fowler

Few good signings, could they be a threat next season ? Should we start taking them seriously again ?

Premier League standings of the restart (after 9 games for all teams)

1. Manchester City – 21 points (+27 GD)

PPG since project Restart is 2.33 for Man Utd

Still way off our 2.605 we achieved over the course of the season

Yes, they have a decent core but their defence is a bit suspect. DeGea has looked a bit shaky but they have Dean Henderson to fall back on.
They need a top class defender but it looks as though is going to persist with Lindelöf and Bailly.
Their midfield is OK, Pogba being the one who stands out. He's only got a year left. Will he stay?

They've also got a young crop of players ready to back up their best players in Greenwood, Williams and James.

I'm not sure if they can challenge us and City next season but they're definitely better now than then they were at the same time last season.

Unless something big happens during the summer, Us, Man C, Man U and Chelsea are going to be in a league of our own in the upcoming season.

I really dont understand the mini table of 9 games since the restart stuff, it makes no sense whatsoever.

Fernandes has been great for them. But he also takes penalties, which they set a new record in being given. His stats are padded and looks much better than they are, and he’ll find it much tougher next seaon when teams are aware of him.

Utd are a better side now, but still not good enough. De Gea is past it, their defence isnt up to it yet.

They’ll be closer but still finish about 3rd/4th.

Fernandes as their Suarez though, lolz

More than happy for their luck and purple patch to be when it doesn't matter. Their approach is slowly getting found out and they run of penalties will surely slow next season.

Their defence is shite, if they improve that they could be a challenge. In midfield they are relying heavily on one trio of Matic, Pogba & McTominay, change any of these three and it all falls apart.

They will always improve given resources.

3rd best Defence in the league..

Best Defence since the restart.. not all that shite really is it ??

Only conceded 3 more goals than us .

They need a new keeper.. I suspect they will buy Nick Pope if Chelsea don't.. Henderson an option too..

They mostly played the bottom half. It is highly susceptible when attacked. They've blitzed some teams with their forward line and killed games early. I think they are definitely a 'contender' next season but with some obvious weaknesses.

Nah. It'll be us and City again. The chasing pack may get a little closer, but they'll still be just that.

That may be so. However if they are better than the other 17 teams then they stand a good chance of being a lot closer than 33 points behind us. And I can see that being the case - I have them finishing within 10 points of us. They are getting a lot closer. Good midfield, excellent attack and a defence that shouldn't be too difficult to make better than it is.

You realise the fucktards at Blue Fume will claim this is proof that the League was “fixed” pre-COVID by VAR and that Man Shitty are the bestest team ever and are the true champions as this post lockdown table clearly proves

Haha what was that ? I gave up counting, was it 7 penalties and 5 assists that were literally just a touch to a player who then went on to do it all himself.
Haven't we won quite a few Trophies by winning Penalty Shootouts. ??

#just sayin

Fernandes has taken United to another level. There's no denying that. He's got brilliant vision and final ball, which makes far better players of Rashford and Martial.

They'll improve next year, no doubt, but we're still the stronger outfit.

You don't close 33 points in one season.

According to the press Sancho, Grealish and Koulibaly next set of transfer targets.
Wow that's at least £200 mill worth of transfers. We'll see if they manage to keep their attacking players happy.

No way do they cope with league and CL next season.

chelsea could be a real challenger though. Already far stronger for next season.

Not sure how much of it is true but 90 million Sancho bid rejected today from them.

No issues with other clubs buying players but when everyone is buying and you aren't, it's a bit much especially when clearly need some additions to ensure there is some fresh skills and personalities to the champions.

Have they started to call for the pre-lockdown part of the season to be null & voided, yet?
