Ha. I love klopp.

Slot... I don't get the hate, but I haven't liked his attitude at times, years especially slobbering over PSG last year, or his more recent comments. That said, is that his attitude, or his style of football and even more so, his not winning the games? People always will find a reason to hate a losing manager.

He's smart not to try to do a Klopp tribute act, and just be a boring coach mostly, but I just kind of don't have any sense of him at all, other than that I don't respect how basic his vacationing is.

Yeah I get that. My point would just be that that's good man management. It's not necessarily a matter of being a cunt or not.

I agree somewhat on the Quansah thing, which I said at the time was OTT. People defending it because he was Dutch ffs, like that helps. And some of the worst treatment of Chiesa has pissed me off - leaving him out of the CL squad was pretty terrible imo. Felt gratuitous.

In theory, yes, but in reality no, IMHO. If you want time to plan and research a new manager for proper succession planning, yes.

But for an emergency market, where there is NOT many options out there, for managers that match and who play in a style akin to the Klopp/Slot way and are not a panicked decision.

This couldn't all just be a load of complete bollocks to justify a furious mob spasm people just can't be bothered to restrain, could it?
 
Not sure I agree with the first part of 'stealing' as I'm not personally convinced Klopp knew what to do with that same squad the season before. I think he's a bit arrogant, but lots of people are. He is definitely stupid IMO.

I suspect they’ve already got some people in mind. I doubt they’re looking to sack him now but they also will need to be prepared.

Four more defeats in a row. That's my limit I think.

But the difference would be that I won't be relishing it, and I won't be insulting the guy. Gave us only the second title most of us can remember, and the only one we could properly celebrate. That merits gratitude, which merits patience and lots of it. Well it does to me, anyway.

He seems a bit of an non entity after Klopp but then again who wouldn't.
I don't get the whole he won the title because it was Klopp's team, I'm getting on a bit but as far as I remember Klopp didn't win the title in his last year with the same squad.
As for the arrogance, I'd be surprised if any top tier manager doesn't have some.

I'm alarmed as anyone else about the form and what appears to be a lack of a plan out of this. However I'd give him a good run at sorting it out, at least until the new year. There's no viable options out there anyway.
Again I don't get the hate because he went on holiday or hasn't played Chiesa (and I like him), or doesn't rate Bajcetic. If those two players are the answer, we're definitely screwed.

I think it's just the lack of credit for last season that really bothers me.

If he'd just come in this season and started with a long run of wins and then had a similar run of losses, I don't think I'd be calling for his head yet but I could at least understand it. But to not be willing to grant another 5-10 games' credit based on the title win just seems like bad form to me.
 
It might be a case where it's better for Arne Slot to die a hero than love long enough to become the villain
 
I want to know where last season's slot has gone, the one who use to make changes that altered the direction of games? He saw from last season we concede way too many chances at the back and people were saying our style was not sustainable.

If we keep playing like this then he has to go by xmas. We've spent too much money. Can't afford to miss CL football.
 
I defo dont hate him but the shit he's chatting is super annoying and we are playing like shite and every time we lose and he says something more deflective and it doesn't look like we are getting better of course he's one step closer to the boot. I'd prob like to see him gone cos I see no signs on the pitch that he's gonna turn it around, and also cos it looks like we signed a bunch of players that don't fit his systems, but I'll always love that he won us number 20
