I’m on holiday in Peguara, Marjorca. It’s a tiny town, Southwest on the island. More geared towards Germans than English.
I spent the afternoon chilling on the beach which was great.
Then went onto the main “strip” to watch the game in a German bar. It was full of reds. Not a single Arsenal fan.
To the game, it was frantic. Very energetic with little quality. They’re no better than stoke. Get a set piece and take forever going through the motions just to limp it up to the keeper. Crowd out everyone and hope to get a goal. Other than that they created fuck all.
We also created fuck all. We let them dictate the style of the game. Come the hour mark we started to show our skill with much better football. Once we started winning the ball higher up and getting through the middle we took control. We were overall the better side but it took a moment of magic to do it. I half expected it to go for goal kick. It was perfect. The look on Raya’s face was magical.
Still 100% and that’s all you want from the games before the first international break.

This. He also needs to manage his sprints and running a bit more. As of now he’s averaging more km per game than just about everyone.
That 2nd half was class though. Very nice to see before the international break.

Yeah but that was their target, the way they setup with what was essentially 3 CDM's, and kicking the ball out of play from Kick-Off....you just knew they were playing for the set pieces. Every passing lane was being blocked off for us to get out, build up from us was mega slow. 2nd half we improved.
We were shite, the game wasn't great, we were lucky to win, but it was one fuck off of a free kick. Was lucky enough to be sat dead in line with it. Everyone around was talking about his one for Hungary that we all wanked over when we bought him just before he hit it. Amazing.
Three games in and we’ve already improved on two performances this seasons compared with last ( Newcastle away from 3-3 to 3-2 and Arsenal home from 2-2 to 1-0)

I'm in Funchal, Madeira. I couldn't get into town to watch ( wife would have killed me and her great holiday mood) but watched on the iPad! She left me alone to watch and went into the other room - meaning I could scream and shout. I'm in Fayetteville, Arkansas. And no, it's not as sexy as it sounds...
I watched it with a couple of new cockney lads I've met since I got here and about 50 yanks. 49 of them were fine. One was THAT yank. And, of course, he was cheering for them. After about 80 minutes of Flying Pig type yelling, and everything we did was shite, and we're useless, etc, I turned around and screamed at him "Will you PLEASE shut the fuck up?!?!?!?"
Even his mates laughed and many actually applauded.
I just cupped my ear at the final whistle. Couldn't hear much, for some reason...
