....could all have new managers next season. For me the 'young' managers that could turn their fortunes around are;

Conte - Has now won three back to back Serie A titles (including this year). My guess is that he would only go to Man Utd or Arsenal.

Klopp - Has done great things with Dortmund but with Byerns dominance on and off the pitch, he may want a change of scenery. Again I don't think he would got to Spurs

Simone - Probably the best manager in Europe right now, however, I can't see him moving club unless its for Barcelona.

Martinez- proved a lot of doubters wrong and probably the only candidate that will consider Spurs.

Dont think Klopp will be moving yet

De Boer is also an exciting up and coming manager

Mauricio Pochettino's current contract's ending in 2015. Whether Southampton hold on to their star players will probably play a part in him deciding to stay or leave.

Seriously though, Southampton have spent huge, their net spend over two seasons is 4th/5th highest in prem league and what is the result;
50 Goals
8th place 2 points above Newcastle and 9 adrift of 7th place Man Utd.

So why is he a good manager?

I'd be surprised if Martinez leaves Everton for any of them, the crucial point will be next Summer, that's when he can properly assess how much Kenwright is willing to put into the club to back him and maybe then use it as an excuse to leave. In the meantime Everton are as exciting a project as any of them.

United will go for someone established. Arsenal too probably.

According to the Arsenal fans, there is a link between Martinez and Wenger.
Wont be surprised to see him go there.

Why would any promising manager go to Spurs and work with Levy? Spurs will have a good next season. The managers reputation will be on the ascendancy. The summer after that Levy will sell two of the best stars for 100 million and buy random players. Every paper in the country will be signing praises of Levy's negotiation skills.

The manager will have a poor start and immediately Levy's chums in the media will start stories about dressing room unrest etc etc leading to sacking and a damaged reputation in 18 months. Jol, Ramos, AVB - same template.

Not sure how big a part Nicola Cortese played in making those signings but the big money signings like Gaston Ramírez and Pablo Osvaldo only made 5 starts between the 2 of them this season whereas both Wanyama and Lovren missed chunks of the season, especially the former. So their success isn't directly linked to the amount of money spent.

Of their regular XI:
Boruc - Free transfer
Clyne - £2.5m compensation
Fonte - £1.2m, rose with the club from League 1
Lovren - £8.5m
Shaw - Academy
Schneiderlin - £1.2m, rose with the club from League 1
Davis - Free transfer
Ward-Prowse - Academy
Lallana - youth signing from Bournemouth, rose with the club from League 1
Rodriguez - £7m
Lambert - £1m, rose with the club from League 1

Of the 22 squad players used (one of the lowest in the league), 5 are below 20 yrs old. There's obviously the type of football they play and this being the manager's 1st full season in a new league too. No guarantees if the bubble will burst but the signs are definitely encouraging.

On a sidenote, their wage bill is £47.1m in 2013, compared to (9) Newcastle's £61.7m, (10) Stoke's £52.5m and (11) West Ham's £56.2m

5 games left to get 7 points and surpass their highest Premier League total of 54 points.

I've always thought Pochettino would end up at Spurs. Somehow they just seem a good fit, so I can see that happening this summer.

I'm still hoping Utd give Moyes another season.

Martinez seems a natural fit for Arsenal just like Pochettino at Spurs, so I reckon that might well happen at some point. Perhaps not this summer, though: something tells me Martinez would be reluctant to walk out on Everton so quickly, especially if they finish 4th.

Martinez has done well lads, and I above all am surprised. But does he not need to prove himself over more than one season before he gets a bite at the cherry?

Why?

He's won more trophies than winger has in the last 7 years

Why am I arguing over martinez? You threatened to give up on us if we hired him

He's done very well this year and won a trophy recently. He's made some smart signings, and with financial backing could be very good for the shite, or arsenal

What, you mean like Utd getting a new manager this season?
Moyes had won fuck all and played dour football for a majority of his time at Everton. I think Moyes would have got SOME more sympathy from the fans if he went to Chelsea. They're used to dirty, boring football.

Martinez is like Rodgers in that they both though attack was the best option.

Rodgers in particular this year, has Rarely played it safe. Martinez has rarely ever played it safe

Tbf I was annoyed we were missing some of the playets they got

Still, hindsight makes twats of the best of us, and oracles out of others

I'm neither. I'm sane and rational. Except when it comes to commenting on Man Utd.,

Those players would have undoubtedly been more successful in our system than theirs.

Utd - I can see them sticking with Moyes for the time being
Arsenal - Is there really any chance of Wenger leaving?
Spurs - I can see them getting Van Gaal

I'd rather not see any of De Boer, Klopp and Simeone in the Premiership.
