Buvac the Brain - gone

(I'm pretty sure it's not related to health or family, because when it is a club announces it's a personal matter and then they summon the core of local hacks, explain what the problem actually is, and then get them to agree to leave the story alone until a later date. That hasn't happened here.)

Whilst the logic makes sense, there's a chance that whatever personal reason it is, he has insisted he doesn't want anyone to know at all, which the club would have to respect, or at least if I believe anything about Klopp's attitude they certainly would.

In Klopps biography it stated him as his assistant manager had a relationship whereby they could be at each others throats one minute but in each others arms 5 minutes later. It's possible that their relationship has just burnt out after 17 years of intense working and needs time apart to recover. They both seem to greatly respect one another and the club and Klopp clearly feel their is a possibly he will return. Its frustrating the news has broke out now in this way and it feels like the club were unprepared for him to do so, which reflects worse on Buvac than anyone else at the club.

Yes, it's not impossible. The attitude of clubs for at least a couple of decades is to brief the most trusted hacks on the proviso that they'll respect the public remarks, and then promise them a two-page interview or article about what happened, if possible, at a later date. But it's not inconceivable that Klopp would insist on another way - and, if so, he'd probably have an even more loyal friend back at some point in the future - but if so the club, and especially the press man Matt McCann, will now have a hell of a job n their hands to try to control the speculation.

The Arse just recruited the former BVB super scout Sven Mislintat as head of recruitment this season, so this might not seem too crazy at all.

Course it's bloody crazy.

If they're bringing him in as a manager like it says then the fans will riot.

A moderately successful assistant manager as their manager?

Nah mate.

Buvac still can't speak English very well at all, he's also notoriously camera shy and wouldn't even do a quick post-match interview when he stood in for Klopp when the latter was ill, and by all accounts he has no interest whatsoever in the hassle that comes from being a manager. I guess you could've said the same about Paisley, apart from the Klopp bit of course, but I really don't think you can manage a big club in this era without being ready as well as able to deal with all the media pressure in a clear and confident way.

If he goes to Arsenal I guess it is Klopp's time to honour their agreement from the past were if one got a manager post he brings the other as his assistent.. .. no wonder there is a fall out. :D

To be fair they hired Wenger when no one had a clue who he was

Replacing him in the long term will take a few short speil managers, as the fans and the whole club is in a frustrated period and whoever comes in will not be able to deliver those expectations and thirst for success.

This story really shows how twitter is the most absurdly infantile place. The Bosnian news outlet didn't break the news of Klopp coming to us, but the assertion that it did (rather than just repeat other sources) has just been repeated unquestioningly, thus scaring loads into trusting this latest idiotic bit of fake news. And then it gets repeated in online news pages over here, describing the Bosnian news site as 'a source close to Buvac,' which is a bit like calling Angela Merkel 'a source close to Klopp'. Really depressing how witless gossip gets elevated so quickly these days. You'd probably be better off sticking your head in a washing machine and pressing spin dry.

Wow. That is not good news at all.....

The timing does make sense though, & it's not exactly a massive stretch of the imagination considering that timing.

Whilst he & Klopp may be long-term friends, if he has just told him that he's taking the Arsenal job, or seriously considering it, gardening leave would be the option taken every time, cos you do not want a potential rival manager in your camp a minute longer than necessary, even if he has been there for years already.

But its a possibility that he’s accepted a head coach job elsewhere though. In the Bundesliga etc.

But with all those anti Brexit quotes from Klopp he could be a source close to Merkel?

Definitely plausible, but as macca said, he doesn't seem like the type to want the limelight

True, that is the biggest argument the other way.
Some Dortmund fans said he was on TV about twice during those 7 years, not manager material to say the least.

Looks like he is going to be Arsenals next manager

According to the Bosnian newspapers..

Could be quite a coup for them..
