Other than the tweet from the official Fenway account mate no. Would seem nailed on to me though given that # stability

Ah, thanks mate. Havent seen that tweet. Yeah, I'm more in favour of him getting another year now than I've been. Just need to get the transfers right this summer.

wrong choice of words, I wasn't referring to myself.
But I won't be happy if he's sacked and it's not the end of the world if he gets a 2nd chance.

Yep, Kenny needs the opportunity to put things right and we could do with a controversy free season also with no disruptions. Onwards and upwards !

If we have as much good luck next season as we did bad this season, we'll win the league 🙂

Cant wait for next season tbh..

@stephen1martin: Sorry, some misunderstanding. The Daily Mirror has reported that 'KD stays but there's a reduced budget'. Neither have been decided. #lfc

Whatever the club decides I hope its done swiftly, and before Euro's so we can plan for next season.

Yeah, if anyone deserves the chance to save(that's exaggerated but you know what i mean) his reputation it's Kenny.

Kenny Dalglish defends Liverpool's season
Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has delivered a robust defence of his Anfield reign, but admits he has received no guarantees he will remain in charge beyond Sunday’s final Premier League game at Swansea.

Fenway Sports Group’s Anfield restructuring continued on Friday with the departure of Liverpool’s head of communication, Ian Cotton, who has left the club after 16 years.
His exit follows that of Damien Comolli as director of football and head of sports science Peter Brukner.
Dalglish’s own role is also under scrutiny, but he is reading little into the silence from the United States since last week’s FA Cup final defeat. He is pressing ahead with preparations for next season.
Asked if he had been told he would remain in charge, Dalglish said: “Well they haven’t told me that I am gone! I am here. If you are in any job, you are going to do it to the best of your ability. There has nothing been said, nothing been done.

“There has never been any discussion with the owners. We sit down and talk with them throughout the whole season. I suppose there is always going to be stories about the football club but if there is no substance to them how can we justify them?
“We are excited about a lot of the things that have gone on here. When you consider in January the year before we went out of the FA Cup in the first game. We were out of the Carling Cup but in the Europa League. We were four points off relegation, so I don’t think this has been too bad a return this year.”

Although Dalglish has bought players to the value of £120 million since taking over, he suggests in real terms he has only spent £23 million when sales are taken into account.

He said: “Financially, the figures that are bandied about, to me, don’t match up with the balance sheet that came out a couple of weeks ago. It said in July 2011 that there was a £40 million deficit in transfers but since then we have sold £17 million worth of players. To me that brings it down to £23  million, so that’s not a bad spend is it? If a boy who left school at 15 can see the financial figures, well more educated people than me can work it out themselves.

“For me, to get a trophy back after six years, to get in to Europe at the first time of asking, it’s not a bad ask is it?”

He added that the owners “are educated people. I’m sure they can understand it. They understand sport as well. If they understand that side of it, they will understand what we are trying to do. There is a bigger picture for the football club. It’s very rare you get things turned around in 12 months”.
Cotton departed after a fraught season for the Anfield PR department because of the Luis Suárez race abuse row.

£20 mill.or so plus what we make from sales, and possibly from savings on the wage bill if we can offload the likes of Cole and (gulp) Aquilani, should be enough, especially if we can get the squad back to the level of performance it reached in the first few months under Kenny.

Kenny abandoned pretty much everything that was right about his first six months though. There's no reason to suggest he's going to revert back to that now (never mind the fact that the personnel that facilitated that success are either gone or on their way out anyway), and every reason to suggest that he'll continue with the same players who have failed him this season.

One of the reason I want a new manager is because I fear that he'll persist with the players he bought last summer, specifically Downing and Adam (what I just highlighted in your post).

in a sense he has no choice but to stick with them considering the fees he paid and the fact he let others go to facilitate them . He's put his eggs in this basket and that's why i think he's got a massive task on his hands to turn it around. they're just not good enough to get the results demanded.

"we got into Europe at the first time of asking"

He keeps talking about this like it's a fucking achievement.

You were supposed to get us into the champions league. You got 120 million on top of what you had to do so. And how many times have we missed out in European football in the last 10-15 years?

Stan Collymore's six-point plan to save Liverpool
1. Stadium remodelling
2. Making their brand global - Done
3. The continuum of youth - Doing
4. World class manager - KD was and can be
5. Flexible football policy on the pitch - Not flexible enough?
6.
Revamp media relations - Cotton gone - how much is more needed?

5 out of 6 not bad. Stadium is being looked at I am sure. There!

I say stop all these nonsense! Just give Kenny one more year to prove himself. We have languished for 2 decades, what is another year?

Problem with this is that it says to any prospective Manager that they must turn things around and leapfrog Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea etc in 12 months or they're gone.

I don't think that's realistic or reasonable. In fact it piles even more pressure on to an individual at a club with already huge expectations.

He doesnt KEEP talking about it. You maybe KEEP reading about it and believe that he KEEPS saying it in order to keep your rankle gland all stoked up.

We were relegation threatened last season. In fact we were almost administration threatened. Now we are in Europe again.
I can honestly see why the RCDNW hated the RCDNR so much now. Like I was with Rafa, im very much in the middle with Kenny, but with Rafa i was always in favour of him going. With Kenny im in favour of more time. And honestly now i can see that those on the 'CDNR' end are far worse tham those on the 'CDNW'
Kennys made mistakes, our league has been horrific, hes been a part of signing bad players, he loaned out good players, he drops players at the wrong time.
But hes won league titles and FA cups. He ISNT Roy Hodgson and deserves more time. You have to build from the foundations and Kenny has done that. We have a stronger core of players, we have a chance to move forward together as a club this summer. Club, Players, Manager, Owners and Fans. Together.
So quit fucking moaning and SUPPORT your club. SUPPORT one of our greatest ever managers as he attempts to rebuild our great club from relegation candidates and almost the brink of non existence to title challengers again. Just SUPPORT.
