Lovely and good luck to him.

Could be meeting up with Milner as well according to an ad in that website.

Inclined to agree. I don't see how we're getting 40M, particularly given that he's in the last year of his contract.

I'd take anything over £30M - at least it covers Mamardashvili.

From a PSR perspective it's pure profit. Obviously the more the better, but it does need sorting this summer so some pragmaticism needed.

Have you seen what they currently have in goals? £40m is cheap for A double premier league winning keeper

They're not going to make a 2nd choice keeper with a year left on his deal their joint record signing.

Wait Leeds are dropping Messlier? Doesn't make sense.

Shit I'm apparently out of the loop. Messlier is their second choice atm.

That really depends on the competition for his signature. Leeds can't afford to wait until he's on a free.

That's true, they'll probably do what pretty much every side outside the European positions do, and sign any old keeper for about 10m because no number of clubs are getting themselves entangled in a bidding war for him that could be worth up to 40m, let's be real.

Plus it's not like the competition for his signature was through the roof in Jan or last summer was it?

I think Leeds could pay loads for him if as it seems they are playing the percentages to stay up instead of getting the dough and being happy to take it back down with them. They've already fired their boss and want a top coach, signalling their intent immediately. Fuck the yoyo, they wanna stay up. That's probs the first thing people who get promoted get wrong... Stay loyal to someone who has hit their ceiling. The next two things you want are a top striker and keeper. They're almost impossible to get hold of - but here's a prem proven top few in the league keeper who could be the difference between staying up and going down and all the zillions of quid that involves. It makes sense to me anyway.

They didn't fire Farke in the end did they?

Didn't they? Well they're fucked then aren't they? I thought they'd get Maureen in or something.

Is PSR even worth talking about? We have won that competition 5 years in a row amongst the big 6.
£40m is a good price and Leeds are getting an amazing keeper. Win-Win
