Betting Cheltenham 2014

Annie Power is my banker for the meeting. Feel dirty backing against Big Bucks but her time could be up. Annie power is getting the maiden allowance too in the weights.

I have Faugheen and Annie power in an AP 17/1 double. The only other AP betting ive done is a Champagne Fever and Hurricane Fly double at 22/1.

What do ye fancy.

Faugheen is supposed to be a jet the mullins team fancy him big time.
His bumper performance last season at punchestown was sensational.
Have backed him at 7 ta 2.
Briar hill and Quevega for the double too.
Quevega is like a bank account at Cheltenham.

Lads, PP are refunding stakes in the supreme novice hurdle if your horse comes 2nd 3rd or 4th.

Ladbrokes are doing a MBS if Hurricane Fly is 1st or 2nd.

The stats and trends are against Hurricane Fly in the race but this horse has always broke the trends in the past.
It's by far the hottest race it's ever contested too so the bookies are keen to take him on.
I've backed Our Conor as the trainer is a specialist at getting his horses at their peak for the big days.

Im going to back Gilgamboa ew at 10/1 in the first and avail of the PP refund if it comes 2rd 3rd or 4th. Hopefully it runs into a place and I get my win stake back.

Vautour should be placed so Im going €10 win on that.

I've champagne fever and HF in a double. My brother thinks Jezski can run a big race though.

Quevega looks to be acting as a free ATM for people over the last 5 years. Can it make it 6 in a row? I've it doubled with Annie Power so I hope so.

Small ew bet on Grandouet at 10's in the second race.

My only other bets will be Fox rock or Art of Logistics. Shut the front door is getting good support and Nina carberry is riding it.

Huge days for Mullins and Ruby Walsh.

Apart from Faugheen what are the fancies today ?

I think I'll have to follow the crowd on Faugheen but from what I can read that second Mullins horse in the Neptune can beat everything else in the race.

I'm going for Davy Russell in the RSA - morning assembly.

It'll be a Bolger horse for the 4 o clock race but I'm lost on the rest of the card

Forgot to come on here yesterday - I got some "tips" from a mate who works at HQ for a bookies.

They did a price boost on Hurricane Fly as their traders said that it was a "sure thing" that it wouldn't win. Bold move but paid off.

2:40 Clondaw Kaempfer. Pricewise has tipped Dell'Arca but hasn't had a winner so far.
3:20 Sire Du Grugy - good vibes from the stable but Hinterland is a strong each way contender.
4:00 the favourite Big Shu is tempting but hard to rule out Balthazar King who loves Cheltenham and has been prepped for this race
4:40 Orgilgo bay for a place
5:15 Golantilla for a place

Josses Hill who finished 2nd in the Supreme novices race yesterday was given a 22 length beating by Faugheen in a bumper at Punchestown last season so the form looks good.
Faugheen needs to brush up on his jumping to win today.
The rest of the card is a minefield and looks extremely tough.
Got a text last week from the owner of Orilgio Bay and he said they were saving the horse for the race since October and will improve a stone on today's better ground.

Like picking up 50 quid on the street.

Yep, £10 max bet. To withdraw you need to send in copies of 2 forms of ID which I imagine claws back some of the losses they made on it.

Definitely sending mine in though. £40 of guaranteed free money!!
