Serious question; how is doing for Spurs?

Not seen or heard his name much in the media since the move, so I guess he's not pulling up any trees.

Perhaps we right not be held to ransom by Al Fayed?

scored 2 goals
had 1 assist

Of our players only Suarez has a better stats.
Gerrard scored 2 and made 3 in 9 full games
Sterling scored 1 and made 2 in 8 games (688 minutes)
Sahin scored 1 and made 2 in 5 games (316 minutes)

Edited: and they won in the 3 games he scored or made a goal.

Do you think? This wasn't meant as an "I told you so" thread, but we should remember that quite a few were miffed we didn't shell out the additional £1m to get him.

Its early days and we'll never know if he would have done stuff for us. I think the decision was right, but the decision not to get another striker was wrong.

Nah I know it's not what you meant, but I think he'd have been good as a lead striker for Suarez to play off him. We just needed another striker.

Dempsey would've been another body in already crowded attacking midfield - a help perhaps but not a catalyst for real change.

As Wiz said in another thread, there is plenty of talent in the squad but we're not seeing the maximum return on that talent right now. The team is unbalanced right now and it's causing all kinds of problems.

One of the main advantages of signing Dempsey would have been his versatility - he's played up front at least as often as he has in midfield. That's where I think we'd have used him and, in the process, helped to even up the balance problem.

He didn't figure at all in preseason for Fulham, so he arrived at Spurs last minute and in poor shape. It's taken a while for him to get going, as Ryan said though, he's not playing his favoured role, I've seen him play on the right a few times which isn't even his second role.

He isn't an "undefined midfielder", because he isn't a true midfielder at all. He's an attacking player who can play in a variety of attacking positions, some of which involve him receiving the ball wide rather than centrally.
