..... As for Liverpool hitting pause on a strategy because someone died. Are you fucking mental? There's clearly a billion quid strategy being played right now. Jota didn't feature in it. Twenty other first team squad members do. They have one chance to realise their dreams, and no event will or should be allowed to stop that momentum. It would be disrespectful to assume the club would prioritise one iota of its ambition over the responsibility to the current playing staff because of a horrible accident that no-one could have predicted.
And surely Diogo would be going mental if he thought the lads were distracted? Winning is what he lived and breathed for and imo he'd want them to go out and do their very best again.
As for who attended. Half the squad were due back Fri, the other half on Monday. I'm guessing the guys due back Fri could gather and get to Portugal together for Saturday. The ones not back in Liverpool yet could really struggle to get back at short notice, especially if they don't feel happy leaving their families to get back alone.
I'm surprised Kloppo didn't appear but maybe he doesn't want to tread on Slots toes. This is the biggest test of anyone's managerial skills.
