Post Match EPL Fulham (A) 2-2 Sunday 4th January 15:15

Also slot absolutely is a coward. Thinks his system is perfect until we concede then shits himself.
But that isn't Cause & Effect. Even if he is a coward the reason Reed wasn't closed down was more likely 3 games in 8 days and the players were fucked. Nothing to do with Slot's personality.

Slot has merely steadied the ship since our losing run, we nowhere good enough to challenge top 3 currently...arsenal are going to be looking forward to playing us Thursday, as we lack confidence, tempo and ability to hold onto leads. Hope Etitike is back quickly as Gakpo is a mediocre alternative

I think Slot's substitutions were poor.

Wirtz probably had to come off, but it disrupted our momentum.
Taking off Curtis meant we had 2 CMs by the end of the game and no one in the middle of the park for the equalizer.
As usual giving 10 minutes to Chiesa expecting him to make things happen ... it's just pointless, just give his minutes to one of the kids who will be here next year.

The first half - slow, death by very slow sideways unsure where the ball should go football ... tough to watch.
The second half - quicker, more urgency etc ...

Why can't we start this way ? We can still be strong defensively AND be more quick/urgent in attack.

It's tough but the Leeds game showed me enough. We had to win that game, and we came out flat.

That's just not a good sign.

I don't think he's capable of managing a club where things aren't falling to place internally - and other clubs messing things up (i.e. arsenal, city last year).

Props to Cody for his goal. He fought and earned another start next week though he's not good enough imo to be a Liverpool starter for a team where he has to be a more key player than he was last year.

There should obviously have been a player to press Reed, but he hits that shot once in a blue moon. Just an insane strike and quite typical of our season that it the top corner from 30 yards.

Anyway, we need a new manager. Fuck this awful football. 10 wins in 20. 13 first halves without a goal.
The people in charge surely can see that this isn’t sustainable. Imho he is still in a job only cause there isn’t a replacement available.

Yeah and I don't get into a fender bender if I left the house 30 secs earlier/later. Doesn't mean I shouldn't have driven that day. The sub was not the reason for the goal.

But it's a huge contributing factor to it.

You're actively taking someone off from the area of the pitch that reed picked the ball up in. It's impacted it whether you like it or not. For me, i dont see a need for that sub at that moment.

I don't like this line. When is there a manager "available"? You have your shortlist and you go for them. We're big enough to be able to try and get managers from other teams mid season.

The issue will be we don't want to pay through the nose for it

I'm going to be a minority here and say I have some hope for us after the second half. I saw a lot of positives

1- Konate helped stop a definite goal
2. We created a lot more,
3. Frimmers put in a wonderful cross.
4. The Draw was down to a managerial error\and a cracking strike.
5. We are still in forth.
6. And yes, subbing off our only striker with 2 mins left is not Liverpool.
7. But away from home, I thought we were much better in the second half.
8. Wirtz got another goal and looked great,
9. Not a fan of Gakkers, but he came good. Right place, right time. But the contrast between his first half chance and Wilson's - wow.
10. A draw against Fulham at CC is not the end of the world.
11. Allison is some keeper.

Slot's tactics were a lot better in the second half. Fulham only had us on the counter.

Yeah it's a once in a lifetime hit by Reed, but I don't think it's typical of our season. We've been shite all year, not unlucky. If anything, a lot of the points we've got we're fortunate to have. We invite pressure and don't play with any urgency. When you consistently do that you get punished.

It's unfair to compare Slot to Klopp, but we need someone with the same principles as Jurgen. Urgency, passion, bravery, work rate etc.

He scored a potential winner by shinning in from 2 fucking yards

He was fucking muck

Gakpo would never have been RM so it's a moot point. He'd have been over near the LW since that's where he was playing at the time. So not a contributing factor.

Sometimes you have to put it down to luck - like I said, Reed has scored just 4 times in his life and never a 30 yarder. It was a fluke goal, It happens. Accept it and move on.

We really were a lot better going forward in the second half, than before. Even while missing our only two strikers. Something might be clicking. The manager is trying stuff. Players are delivering more. I feel a little glimmer of hope.

It's a fluke but if you give someone a gun, don't be surprised to get shot. We let him shoot. We let him have acres of space and it's down to the fact our balance was thrown completely off by the sub.

I appreciate that we seem to be conceding an ungodly amount from throw ins (of all fucking things), but i cannot abide such simple tactical ineptitude there. If your team cannot defend without lashing on extra centre backs, then you're fucking shite.

Lets say he didn't score a worldie. Lets say he ran with the ball 15 yards unchallenged. That causes us to open up. That then causes an opportunity for a pass and a goal.

I will never support bringing on a centre back for a forward, like some kind of fucking cuck, against a team 10th in the fucking league.

Wonder goals happen, yeah. But you can limit their probability by doing the right things. You can also limit their impact by doing the right things for the other 95 minutes. We play well in a ten minute burst every game. The rest of the time it's slow and cowardly.

I'm not sure what else he could have done TBH and I thought the subs were fine. That wasn't the issue.

Yes I said the same but he HAD to come off. He had had a slight twinge, he hadn't trained for a few days before the Leeds game and he was blowing.

Curtis was playing LW and was replaced by Gakpo there. No problem with that. Chiesa went to CF and was to press, no problem there either. We had an extra defender on, that should have been enough.

To go CF?! Everyone complaining he doesn't get enough minutes and he's a senior Pro.

Remember lads, we were missing our two strikers, and an aging, yet high impact egoistical super-star who can be a great super sub

All I'm saying is our mini crisis currently has us in forth. While missing key personnel, and a team that looked much better second half. I'm hoping sideways-slot ball may be evolving.

Depends on who you want. Not many top managers move mid season and the World Cup is also a factor.

Have a feeling Nagelsmann is high on our list.

We’re battling for 4-6 in the PL. It’s our transition year with hopefully a cup (please be CL). The sooner everyone sets their expectations to this the better it’ll be.
