Big Day for the Welsh and English..

Monday, June 20th

Group B

8pm: Russia vs Wales (Stadium Municipal, Toulouse, ITV 4)

8pm: Slovakia vs England (Stade Geoffroy-Guichard, ITV 1&2)

Awaits @King Binny group finishing scenario...

Supposedly 6 changes with Clyne, Henderson (for Rooney), Sturridge and Vardy all starting.

It's not hugely surprising that he's resting players like Rooney and Walker (maybe even Rose), who will certainly start the next game, although I expect Vardy and Sturridge to play every game as we progress, whereas Clyne, Wilshere and Henderson won't.

Risky commanding so many changes in what is potentially a must win game to finish top of the group..

Finishing top potentially gives you an Easier Tie in the next round.. I think we play a third placed team if we finish Top of the group..

I would line up the same Team that played the 2nd half against Wales

Vardy, Sturridge & Wilshere/Milner for Kane, Sterling & Alli would have been my selection.

It does seem a little risky to make so many changes when they've been playing well, esp when the only area for improvement was the final third.

The flip side is that they should all be running through walls to play themselves into the side for the next round.

England look a helluva lot more incisive in the final third, despite not being able to get a shot on goal yet.

That brass band needs to fuck right off though, I can't actually put in words how much I hate the sound of that thing.

We got to be careful here because as long as Wales are winning, Slovakia will bomb men forward pushing for a winner.

Sturridge a bit anonymous so far.
He's never been close to as good for England as he is for us.

I think if he grabs another goal this game he may hit his stride. He just seems less confident when playing for England, I get the impression he's over thinking things & trying too hard as a result. Still, he pretty much setup one goal & scored another so there's time yet to get that natural confidence rising.

Don't tell their fans that.
Don't think their fans care, they care more about causing trouble than how their own nation fares.

They'd probably start punching you in the face if you tried to have a normal conversation about football with them.

Dier isnt that good when he's not in that Spurs system. Said as much prior to the EC
