FA Cup Draw

Ah well. Don't care really. I wanted the treble, but I can see Klopp playing a weaker side in both FA cup games.

We are not being Chelsea at SB without every single member of the first team.

If we get through he will play a stronger team

League will be won by then..

March 5th..

Be stupid not too

Sheffield Wednesday vs Man City
Reading or Cardiff vs Sheffield United
Chelsea vs Shrewsbury or Liverpool
West Brom vs Newcastle or Oxford Utd
Leicester vs Coventry or Birmingham
Northampton or Derby vs Man Utd
Southampton or Tottenham vs Norwich
Portsmouth vs Bournemouth or Arsenal
If we go through looks as though the FA have got their punishment in early.

But yeah.. I said this last year and I'll say it again.

Until we win the PL, i am giving Jurgen a pass with some of these cup games. Although, ideally we should only be losing to a top 8 side away or a top 6 side at home.

However going forward, once the PL monkey is off our back, I expect us to start behaving like Champions and have a squad capable of competing on all 4 fronts. We can't be throwing cup games away anymore.

I've got bad news for you... this has nothing to do with the PL monkey and more to do with how many players he thinks he can have in a motivated, fit, happy and bonded unit... having extra world class players that only get games in the FA cup and League cup runs is not doable unless you spend a lot on spare parts effectively. Only City have the money to waste like that.

Only 2 trophies matter. The league and champions league rest are in the whatever category, at push you could say the World Cup cup. Wenger won a couple of fa cups near end of his tenure but it didn’t make a difference

Hope the kids beat Shrewsbury so they get a real test at Stamford Bridge. At that time we have more people back from injruy and probably a better foundation for selection. Rememeber that for some of the last league games we have had kids on the bench and that is not ideal.

"A real test"? They were lucky to get a draw at Shrewsbury. They'll get bumfucked into next week at Chelsea.

My issue isn't the size of the squad (or adding players) but the quality and injury record of some of our players we do have. We wouldn't have to throw away cup games if some our lads could stay fit, and then contribute when they came in.

He needs to bin off players like Lovren, Lallana, Clyne, Shaqiri and possibly AOC and Keita too, who are on big wages, are always injured and don't even give him the chance to rotate.

Games lives their own lifes. They managed well against both Arsenal and Everton and if, and there is a big IF, they go through it is a big test for them awaiting at Stamford Bridge.

They play the Ev three days later, will be in a battle for fourth, and between games against Bayern in the CL. If Lampard went full strength in the FA Cup with all that on he's fucking nuts

We need to come up with something more apposite than the word "battle" when talking about the fourth place position

A battle suggests at least two parties fighting in some kind of organised conflict, with a clear winner and palpable sense of victory.

Whereas what we have here is a collection of tits stumbling around aimlessly in a vague effort to be the least shit and useless collection of tits, and then somehow fall upwards into the final European qualification place.

The players you list aren’t even that good, I would have concerns about relying on them for 5 consecutive games

Thing is, even after we lock up the league, assuming we are still undefeated at the time, i want us to continue to push and finish the season undefeated.

This “invincible Arsenal” crap is really annoying and very overrated (12 draws, ffs) so i want us to piss all over it and really be the invincibles, setting a points record along the way.

Read somewhere we are already at 40 games undefeated but no one will remember that because it’s not in a full season. Finishing the year undefeated puts us at 55 without a loss, within grasp of the record holder which I believe is an italian club with 58.

I know, i know. I’m greedy
