Anyway, Giuseppe Marotta, the Director General of Juve is the main man responsible for transfers. Fabio Paratici (described as his right hand man) worked with him while they were at Sampdoria, as Chief Scout/Head of Scouting.

Born in Borgonovo Valtidone on July 13th, 1972, he was a soccer player. He played in Serie C and B in various teams, among which Piacenza, Palermo, Pavia, Lecco and Novara. At the age of thirty-one he quit soccer and started his manager career in Sampdoria as Chief Observer, a position he held since he arrived at Juventus.

Sampdoria chief Riccardo Garrone has highlighted the importance of Beppe Marotta in Juventus’ title win.

The director general joined Juve from Doria in the summer of 2010 when he also took assistant Fabio Paratici with him.

“It’s a motive of great satisfaction that Juventus have been able to win the League, for the club and for Marotta who has worked well,” Garrone told Sky Sport Italia.

“There was a time when we didn’t understand each other after he left Sampdoria, but everything has been repaired between us.

“There is not too much better around than Marotta and Paratici…”

Marotta and Paratici are in charge of Juventus’ transfer moves.
