Florian and the (Slot) Machine

Momo - What AI site do you use? I wanna try and build a tattoo that's a variation of the classic crest, and so far, I can't get anything that's even close to the level of detail that I'm looking for...
I use ChatGPT. I tried grok but that’s quicker and shitter.

I’m getting better at the prompts but need to do some more work. Once I get better I’ll pay for a premium service. I have three separate accounts for ChatGPT so get 15 image requests a day for nothing.

I think @Mamma Mia could give better advice than me.

I’m hoping to make some funny things and post them to my new instagram profile.

Are you giving it lots of reference images? It's way better at copying than it is creating.

I’ve posted this…

And then posted another version of the Liver Bird, and asked it to replace the original with the second version (within the shield)

Haha nice start. I've followed - you better follow back you cunt !

i know this isn’t the right thread but how the fuck have the glazers sold 30% of the club to him along 100% of the hassle. they seem like fantastic parasites

Florian Wirtz seamlessly continued his great performances from Leverkusen’s glorious 2023-24 season into the 2024-25 campaign.

He assisted 12 goals this term, a new personal best and just one short of equalling the club record for a single Bundesliga season (since 2004-05). It was also only bettered by Bayern’s Olise (15), however all 12 of Wirtz’s were from open play, a tally no one could better.

Above all, his interaction and synergy with top-scorer Patrik Schick stood out, assisting a third (7/21) of the Czech’s Bundesliga goals this season – no other player set up a team-mate as often in the German top flight in 2024-25.

He wasn’t just setting goals up, though. He scored his fair share, too.

It was the second successive season in which Wirtz reached double figures for goals (10) and assists (12); since 2004-05, Thomas Müller (5) is the only other German to manage this in more than one Bundesliga season.

Whether he can extend that to three consecutive campaigns will depend on whether he’s still in the Bundesliga. At the very least, everything points to a Leverkusen farewell in the coming months.

Bloody hell Binny !

Look at that. That's crazy. The half space creation stats are incredible too - and exactly what we need against low block teams (75% of the PL when they play us).

I just can't wait to see our team in action next season.

Still think it depends if we get a good 9 in. Salah carried a lot of creative and finishing weight this season and we desperately need someone to help him. Wirtz will do the creative side, but we need someone else to consistently score

Curious if Slot will make tactical tweaks to get Mo closer to the goal. This season he got the ball on the flanks a lot and looked to set up teammates. Getting him on the receiving end of through balls from Wirtz might be the ticket.

I think as someone else mentioned in another thread, it's a strong possibility that the 2 wide men will play less wide with the full backs overlapping providing width, thus getting Salah/Gakpo closer to the goal. Salah scored was it 30 from out wide - we know he'll score from slightly narrower - possibly more. Same for gakpo.

There's Wirtz factor too, creating and scoring. Im honestly not worried about goal scoring next year. Rather it's rediscovering the ability to control games that i think will determine our success....

I can see Wirtz being part of that plan too. We know he puts in a shift and is better than Szobo at retaining and regaining possession. 4 midfielders.

I wonder if this means we'll retain one of Badger or Elliott to keep up the MF numbers whilst losing Nunez and Jota for just one forward replacement.

From Elliott's Instagram post id say he's definitely off. I hope we keep bajcetic as he's looked pretty good in la liga. Question is whether he can handle being a sub again.

Yeah I think that's correct all round. Those tears seemed to indicate that too.

Fantastically bitter statement from Bayern

Bayern Munich chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen has pointed to the Bavarian club's involvement in the upcoming Club World Cup in an effort to emphasise their credentials amid Florian Wirtz's transfer U-turn. Germany international Wirtz had looked destined for Bayern, only for Liverpool to steal a march.

Arne Slot's Reds, of course, aren't involved in the Club World Cup. Their recent European struggles are a big factor in that, though they would have qualified had they beaten Real Madrid in the 2022 Champions League final.

"Much more has been written than spoken," Dreesen told TZ (via the ECHO). "FC Bayern is one of the absolute top clubs in Europe and the world. Our appeal among fans, but also among players, is enormous.

"The fact that not every player will end up with us is simply part of the package; it's the same for other top clubs. But everyone knows: with FC Bayern, you can win everything every year, you're involved in every competition – the upcoming Club World Cup is a good example of that.

"Just look at which clubs are represented there – and, most of all, which (clubs) aren't. The best European clubs are competing there – including FC Bayern. Our appeal, sporting ambitions, and economic power are well known to all top players around the world."

Bayern qualified for the upcoming Club World Cup via their standing in the UEFA four-year ranking. They also won this season's Bundesliga, finishing well clear of Wirtz's current club Bayer Leverkusen.

Vincent Kompany's side will take on Boca Juniors, Auckland City and Benfica in their group. The first of those games, against reigning OFC Champions League winners Auckland City, will take place on June 15.

Liverpool are understood to have lodged an opening bid of £85m for Wirtz. The sum would represent a club record fee, though sits below the nine-figure sum Leverkusen are reportedly chasing for the playmaker.

Manchester City and Real Madrid had also been linked with Wirtz earlier in the spring. City had explored bringing him in as a replacement for the departing Kevin De Bruyne while Madrid have confirmed Leverkusen double-winner Xabi Alonso as their new manager, but Liverpool appear to lead the way.

“It’s currently an open subject with Florian,” Leverkusen chief Simon Rolfes said. “There is concrete interest from Liverpool, but there’s no more to say right now. Florian is our player.”

Wow, reads like a wounded rejection 🙂.

It was never good for the BL that Bayern could pick apart their opponents with purchases.

No one cares about the CWC though.

Well apart from CEO's of football clubs because it helps stack a big lump of cash in their pockets.

A player like Wirtz isn't gonna go to a club like fucking Flamingo, Phlegmengo....whatever the fuck they're called, over Liverpool just because they're participating in the CWC are they? Let's get some sense here.

Someone tell Dreesen quickly ... in the past 7 seasons Liverpool have made 3 CL finals to Bayern's 1. Both have one win.
