NEW: Bayer Leverkusen have rejected LIverpool's second offer for Florian Wirtz.


LFC are trying to push the total package down to €135m, while B04 continue to demand €150m. It remains unclear whether the difference between this and Liverpool's current offer will be achieved as a fixed sum or easily attainable add-ons. Nevertheless, Bayer do currently NOT believe that the Wirtz deal could be in jeopardy.


LFC have already approved €150m internally. Including a player in the deal is not currently on the agenda in the negotiations.

A month ago Bild were reporting that Wirtz had informed Leverkusen that he only wanted to join Munich.

Fair play if Leverkusen want to stick to their guns and demand the full €150 package.

If they want to sign Quansah or Harvey, equally we should equally be advising them they’ll be paying what we would expect an English side to pay - min £50m + add ons.
 
150m? They can fck off, that is Coutinho money and transfer market hasn’t really gone near the same heights since.
 
Fuck 150m. If they are sticking to their guns then its time to walk away. Come back next season for half the price when he only has one year left on his contract and get him for half the price. I get we want the player but not if it means getting fisted on the price.
 
Why are people panicking? Its a record breaking deal smashing the UK record, remember how quickly its gone from us discovering we were in pole to now
 
The deal will probably settle for £120m with realistic add ons and get over the line. He's already out the door and Leverkusen will want as much time to spend then windfall as possible.

It's huge and ridiculous money. Frimpong being such good value offsets it a little, but we really are banking on Wirtz having some KDB-like career with us. Here's hoping.
 
The shit we are doing to get this done quickly - we all know the sale of Kelleher to Brentford - has there ever been such a quick transfer ? - we pulling favours for Bayer all over the place. This guy better work out - otherwise many on here will get shit on their faces. Not me - coz I don't expect much - every time I have seen him play he has been shit.

I don't get it - I thought the 150 Euros was the Bayern Munich price and everyone else was like in the 125 Euro price ?
 
Germany team met up today and Kimmich did the presser…

Kimmich on Florian Wirtz's decision to join Liverpool and not Bayern: "It's important that he makes the right decision for himself. He'll have his reasons for making this decision. I hope it's the right path for him. I'll cross the fingers for him no matter where he goes. As an FC Bayern player, I would have of course wanted him to come to us. I know him from the national team and played with him - I'm focused on having him as a teammate in the national team"
